The hotel is very well located, close to many restaurants and one of the best beaches on the island. The rooms are large and comfortable and the breakfast buffet is generous and well stocked.
The room we stayed at on the 4th floor is right under one of the restaurants sitting area, so in the morning when you are getting your last minutes of sleep, and the breakfast buffet is going, the noise of moving chairs will make you want to get out of bed...while nothing grave, this is a minus for me as on vacation I tend to sleep in a little. Another point to consider...this is on San Andres Island, a tropical paradise that enjoys the sun and heat almost every day of the year, while that is great for the beach, it is not so great when you are inside of the hotel hallways and the AC is not turned on. We found out that the AC is only turned on on the 5th floor and inside the rooms.

The view from the restaurant was very nice. Some members of the staff were genuinely kind, smiling, and professional. The service from certain employees was very good.
I had requested multiple times (well in advance) a balcony with a sea view. I understood it wasn’t guaranteed, but I expected more consideration as they promised. Upon arrival, I was assigned a room on the 3rd floor with no view. After asking again, I was moved to the 4th floor, which was slightly better but still not what I had hoped for.
Breakfast was kind of disappointing. Aside from the fruit, which was delicious, the rest did not meet my expectations in terms of quality. It was also quite busy and loud, not the peaceful breakfast experience I would expect. I don’t understand why the terrace isn’t used as well, which could help improve the atmosphere.
At the restaurant, the two tables for six right in front were constantly kept “reserved” even when it was empty (and not reserved). When I arrived around 4:00pm and asked to sit there, Jaime refused and said it was reserved for 6:30pm. However, later on, other guests were allowed to sit at the same table by another server, who even offered to clear it for them, saying it is not reserved for you. This inconsistency was very disappointing and felt unprofessional. JAIME was very unprofessional.
There were also small inconveniences, like having to go through reception every time to access the gym because the room key didn’t work for that floor.
In general, the hotel is decent, but management and service consistency clearly need improvement.
