BEAUTIFUL - I can't say enough good things about Vila Camacho! The staff helped me pull off a secret marriage proposal and set up an amazing surprise in our room, they were so discreet and helpful, before and during our stay. Big thanks to the receptionists and everyone else for making our vacation unforgettable! The hotel is super clean, and the pool and rooftop are awesome bonuses. Our standard room was big enough and had some great ocean view. The food is also excellent; breakfast changes every day (they even make picnic boxes if you head out early for a hike), and the Madeiran night at the restaurant was a highlight. Plus, street parking is easy, and it’s only a 20-minute walk into Funchal. Thanks so much Vila Camacho, we will come back :)
Only to say that from my experience there was no noise at night, as I saw some reviews about it.

The property has nice views, the room had a terrace with a sea view. The tours can pick you up in 1 min walk from the location. The checkin/out is 24/7 that is pretty convenient
It is noisy there - you can hear your neighbors, especially when they use the shower - something in the water supply system made the noise. During one of the nights a fire raid alarm took off. It was a false one but then it took off again -wasn’t able to get a rest. For the breakfast - the place was too crowd with lack of space to pass by the tables and guests and though there was enough of food I could not find the food for me, except croissants- they were nice. And the coffee was nice. But I would recommend going to some other place for a breakfast.
