Staff were welcoming and friendly, the decor on the room was lovely and the beds were super comfy! The spa was great and was the highlight of our weekend away.
We didn't realise we would need to book into the restaurant so had to go elsewhere as they were full.

Staff in golf and restaurant were fantastic

Heating wasn’t working - wasn’t cold but was unable to dry anything from playing golf in rain
Towels were not changed at all through stay
No yoghurts at breakfast on first day

The location is stunning.
We stayed in one of the lodges and, unfortunately, there were quite a few things that made the stay less comfortable than expected.
I booked a double room, but the bed was actually two single beds pushed together. The beds are also on wheels, so they move apart during the night and you ultimately end up sleeping in the gap down the middle, which was really uncomfortable.
The lodge was also very hot, particularly at night, which made it difficult to sleep comfortably.
There was no iron or bottled water provided, which I would have expected.
The curtains don’t properly fit the tall windows, so they don’t block out the light and the lodge becomes very bright early in the morning. There are also small lights on the ceiling, possibly from the smoke alarms, that flash bright green throughout the night. They can’t be switched off and were surprisingly distracting when trying to sleep.
Cleanliness could also have been much better. The shower in the lodge was particularly unclean, especially around the shower door.
We also paid an additional £15 to use the spa, but unfortunately the cleanliness there was disappointing too. The shower floors in the spa were visibly filthy, which really took away from what should have been a relaxing experience.
Individually some of these might seem like relatively small things, but together they made the stay much less comfortable and enjoyable than we had expected.
