Very clean, spacious, with many windows and with a totally new kitchen fully equipped. Good mattress and excellent communication with the landlady.
A lot of stairs to reach the apartment, difficult if you carry a suitcase.

Fabulous location less than 10mins walk from the main tourist sites. It was actually a relief to walk away from the hustle and bustle to come home to a lovely neighbourhood area. Francesca and Cristian were great hosts- live on site and available to meet your every need without being at all intrusive. I would definitely come back to stay here again.

I come to the Venice Biennale every two years and I love staying in the Castello neighborhood of Venice-not only is it close to the exhibition sites but it is so much more relaxed than the areas near the tourist sites. Also it is an easy boat ride from the airport. My sister came with me and she did some sightseeing and had no trouble getting to San Marco and other parts of the city from Castello. The apartment was very clean, all the appliances appeared to be brand new and bathroom/kitchen newly remodeled. The two AC units remove humidity and heat very effectively and are quie. Francesca was very responsive and helpful when we contacted her with questions. It is the nicest apartment that I have rented thus far. It is close to amenities such as grocery shops, restaurants etc. A huge plus for me was that it was also very quiet.
There are approximately 56 steps up to the apartment. Once our suitcases were up it was not really an issue. I'm 64 and was able to do it with relative ease but if you have a lot of gear or have a medical condition it might pose a problem.
