Very quite and relaxing area large and specious room and private swimming pools and many waterfalls nearby
Some of villas have Too many steps and are not suitable for small children and disabled persons

The room and whole area of the resort was visually very impressive - at some times of the day even picturesque. The reception had a lot of patience with us as well and staff there was helpful with resolving our requests - be it a reservation of a driver for drop-off / pick-up in Ubud, preparation of breakfast box when leaving early or requests for room cleanup.
There were multiple minor details that were sort of upsetting, especially at the price point of this accomodation. The doors could not be fully closed - this was possibly by design, but it meant insects in the room when the light was on. It would not be an issue if the repellent promised in booking insertion was present somewhere in the room - but it was not. Water in the shower started cold, then turned to boiling once the boiler kicks in, no matter of the position of the control handle. The unoccupied power plug was only in the bathroom - in the other room a lamp must be unplugged for it. The most disappointing part was, however, the cleanliness level at arrival. It was apparent the bathroom was not cleaned at all - trash in the trash can, dirty glasses, moldy shower area, hair in the shower drain and other. After our complaint, a cleanup was arranged - but about half the problems remained. Those were removed only after the second requested cleanup. I deeply appreciate the problems being resolved after pointing them out, but this should really be a default state for a place listed as a 4* hotel, especially at a price point considerably higher than most other accomodation options in the area. The feel of the whole stay was therefore not really terrible, but somewhat disappointing - especially considering the considerable distance from the main Ubud city area where most activities take place.
