The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. The kitchenette was perfect for making tea and coffee and for storing a few cold items. The music from the pub below finished at 10pm and was good music in any case. Meals and drinks were reasonable value downstairs.
The $20 steak night deal was just steak and chips. Had to pay extra for any veg/salad and for gravy. Bit disappointing.

Have stayed in quiet a few places across Maitland, but I found the Family hotel was exceptional in all areas. Pure history right there. Will be my go to stay around Maitland from now on. Even has the original stables out back- so cool.
