Location, just 5 mins from Southern Cross station (& Sky Bus to/from airport). Situation next to tram stop.
View: as okay: our particular apartment faced the Yarra River and St Kilda (not Melbourne CBD/Flinders St station).
Good sized apartment with 2 bedrooms & two bathrooms.
Kitchen (oven, hob, MW, kettle, toaster) good – basic cutlery/crockery. Washing machine/dryer useful.
Clean (although needed to remove own trash/rubbish at end of stay).
The view you end up having is not always what is shown on the website: the apartment seems to be one of many (Pars Apartment website notes ‘mid- to long-term rental’): we ended up with a view out to St Kilda rather than Melbourne CBD.
The accommodation is somewhat spartan, if not basic: only 3 clothes hangers in each of the two wardrobes, and no drawers/shelves for clothes. While the quality of the accommodation was generally good small things, such as the bedside lampshades which were in poor state of repair, let it down.
Noisy, despite being on the 39th floor there was road/traffic/rail noise (worse than that of an airport hotel). Minor noise from other apartments (more at weekends).
Checking in was a bit of a faff - no in-person contact, and very reliant upon tech/apps.
Price: for $500/night, more/quality was expected.
