It was extremely clean, and in a great location in Central Galway. Even though the room is small, I had no trouble finding a place for all my belongings.

The staff and location were excellent. We were smack dab in the midst of the pedestrian only Quay Street. Perfect for food, shopping and people watching.
We may not be the target audience for this spot. It was “snug”. Literally. Bed was up against the wall at both head (normal) and on right side. That created some challenges for a couple seniors who aren’t as agile as once we were. No desk, or chairs, and basic closet space. Yet, we had a blast.
Plus Spanish Arch Carpark was interesting. Not Snugs issue, but worth knowing.

Modern and comfortable, our room was surprisingly spacious - hallways and room location were quirky in the merged and converted medieval buildings but well done
Updated bathroom, fun bunk bed situation for our triple
Location was great - on the main pedestrian street close to the waterfront, restaurants, music
Spanish Arch parking was just a block away, the negotiated hotel rate was much appreciated
- Those with mobility issues need to know there are no elevators. Due to the nature of the ancient merged buildings there will be short sets of steps up and down throughout the halls once you have climbed to your designated floor. Those with limitations should engage with the hotel directly before booking.
- The bars stay open well past 1am. The hotel kindly provided new, wrapped pairs of disposable earplugs in our room, which we definitely needed. Sensitive sleepers should inquire in advance about quieter rooms.
