Location into the main part of Galway is good, only a 10 minute walk to all the action.
Checking in was easy and automated using their machine to get your key
Communication prior to arrival was good
Parking is in a nearby carpark which has to be paid for. Downloading the app and organisaing payment was a bit challenging. There is nowhere to park to get luggage out so had to lug that to and from the carpark.
Rooms were quite small and not a lot of room for luggage.

The Woodquay was close walking distance to eating and shopping establishments & pubs. The room was very clean and surprisingly quiet despite being close to busy roads. We appreciated the floor fan in the room given the warm weather in Galway.
Upon arriving at the Woodquay, the only access to any information was via a QR code in the room, but we had no access to the internet and thus had no access to the WiFi password to gain any information. Luckily, we caught up with a housekeeper as she was leaving and she was able to get the wifi code by calling a supervisor. Lack of printed information in the room and lack of any personnel besides an occasional housekeeper was problematic. We had to call a phone number to find out how to turn on the lights in the room via the key card.

Great locale, easy walking.
The locked front door did not automatically shut which left the facility unsecured. We told a housekeeper.
