This is a unique sort of stay so the main thing it has to do is remain comfortable in spite of the unique feature. I think it did that, they supply sufficient heat for the room and it is furnished appropriately.
We stayed in the "grapes" themed room and it might have been nice to have an electrical outlet beside the bed to charge phones. Also because there is no sidewalk (not that the hotel has any control over that) and no cafe/restaurant in close walking distance there isn't a way to start the day with a bite to eat before packing up and driving away. Maybe there is no good way to do that, I'm not really complaining just to complain it's more of a "i wish.." sort of feedback, in case the owners are looking for ways to improve.

The train car was cute and the bed was really nice.
The TV didn't work well with the internet and the fireplace makes a lot of noise.

The railcar was cute, and as a novelty stay, met my expectations. Great location near town. Self-check in was easy. The steampunk theme was cleverly accomplished, right down to the light switches.
We stayed here October 23rd, and even though there were two mini-splits, they did not keep the car warm. At 4:30AM we finally got up and increased the temperature 70 to 85, but the mini-splits just weren't up to the task and eventually automatically shut off. The wall heaters were also ineffective. The walls and floor were cold; in fact, every surface was cold and we could not get it warm, indicating insufficient insulation.
