Great spot! This is a renovated, former Econo Lodge...I believe the Google Street View photos still show an Econo Lodge...The kind folks at the front desk informed me they've only had the place for just over 1 year (we visited the weekend of April 13, 2024)...Again, appears to have been recently renovated...very clean...staff is super polite and always ready to serve, clean up, whatever is needed...We would definitely stay here again if in the area! Only item in description that does not quire live up to its listing is the on-site Mini Golf...there is a cutesy, little 5-Hole Mini-Golf set up along the main (Washington St) street side of the premises...and it's buffered from the road well enough with landscaping...and while it is not a total mess...and they have golf clubs available at the front desk, it is apparent that it's seen better days...Finally, to top everything off, the "continental" breakfast, was very much well above the typical continental breakfast offering...typically you never get any kind of meats at these...and this one included sausages...and for even more excitement, there's a make your own waffle machine...and even fancier high tech, there is a pancake-making "machine", which starts up by waving your hand in a certain area...and while the pancakes are not huge, it does make two (2) per activation...and my wife ended up with more than expected! She waved her hand twice and she thought she'd only get 2 pancakes...she ended up with four! Hope you enjoy it!

This family owned hotel was very cute, clean, quiet and priced just right for the one night we needed while visiting family near by. We had a double queen room that came with a sofa sitting area, microwave and mini fridge. Sink area outside the bathroom very convenient for a family. Beds and pillows were comfy. Breakfast spread was quite extensive and thoughtful with pancake and waffle maker, fruit, pastries, cereal, yogurt, etc. we would definitely stay here again.

It was wonderful. Very clean and set up well. Even had a little book with things to do and places to eat which helped so much for dinner. It’s a well places location with food and places to walk to. Absolutely loved our stay.

I am very impressed with the general manager and the obvious significant energy invested in making this a beautiful place to stay. I was treated with great respect and courtesy and I will be very happy to stay here again in the future. The loveseat and amenities are very welcome and everything is very clean. This has been an outstanding experience. Thank you.

The room faced a very busy street and it was quite noisy. The walls were also very thin and you could hear other rooms and things.

Great customer service, however the room was very dirty. Stains in the tub, stains on the bathroom door, 2 of our pillowcases had dirt stains on them so they weren’t replaced before our stay. Toilet had remnants of #2 from the prior tenant….it just seemed like it wasn’t cleaned very well at all. Not happy with the cleanliness of the hotel at all, but the customer service and breakfast was great.

We chose this hotel because it was low priced and had dog friendly rooms. We just needed a spot to crash after exploring the area. We expect pet friendly rooms to not be the most perfect of rooms, and that's totally ok. For what we paid and what we needed, it was great! The place has clearly been updated more recently and we liked that, plus the man at the front desk (maybe the owner?) is very nice and we appreciated his friendliness!
If you're there with your dog, know that you can walk down the little side road to a huge open field with a stunning view of the Olympic peaks. Just be sure to clean up after your pup!

Staff was very friendly at check in. Continental breakfast was good for the room price. I wasn't happy about the $15/day pet charge, it's not like they came in and vacuumed every day. There was so much previous dog's fur and dust under the bed it appeared they don't even clean between guests. This room was not like the pictures on their website, it was more like the old Travelodge condition and in the process of being refurbished as the walls were all taped off for paint. They should not rent the rooms until they are completely done. I was going to mention this to the management when I checked out but there was no one at the desk and just a basket to leave the key.

One of the "BEST" budget friendly hotels to stay in for the price with breakfast included😋 First, My husband and I want to thank, Sang for making our check in go so smoothly. We had requested a room on the 1st floor and close to the office entrance due to my husbands bad hip. The room he gave us was absolutely perfect! The room was large and very accommodating. We loved the layout of the room. The continental breakfast had everything you could ask for including hot waffles and pancakes. Great selection of fruits, yogurts, breakfast cereals, pastries, juice and coffee. Plenty of food to get you started for the day. My husband and I stay in alot of hotels that are budget friendly and found that "The Ocean Star Inn" is by far the best and is number 1 on our list. We highly recommend this hotel, you won't be disappointed. This is absolutely a 5 star hotel. Thank you Sang and Amanda for making our stay so wonderful! We will be back on our next visit to Sequim:)

Ocean Star is just outside of Sequim's cute downtown area, so loads of shopping and dining are close by. The room was perfectly clean and very comfortable, but in no way fancy ... so if you're looking for fancy or luxury this is not your spot. It's a great home base for a good night's sleep while you explore the area.

What a pleasure it was to stay at the Ocean star Inn. The staff was super friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean and large for a standard size room! We enjoyed the continental breakfast every morning! And treated ourselves to a cookie when we came in for the day! I would highly recommend this stay!

This was such a cute place to stay with very friendly hosts. Our pet was very welcome with lots of places to walk outside.
The rooms were dated but clean and beds were cozy. (Meaning- the toilets were small, the piping was noisy, etc). Showers had great water pressure and bottles of shampoo and soap. Sink area outside of toilet/shower area. We had a fridge, a love seat and a coffee table in addition to the beds and tv. Tv was fabulous- new and big. We brought our own roku and the picture was better than we have at home.
HVAC was super old but easily controlled and the room was quite comfortable.
There were trees and shrubs in the backyard so instead of looking out on parking lots we felt like we were in the forest.
Breakfast was meh. They had the usual waffle maker, pancake makers, muffins, yogurt and breads. Definitely enough to fill your belly!
Overall we were quite happy with our stay. It was incredibly affordable. We would come back to stay here again.

This hotel locates in a safe and quiet area. Our room was large and recently remodeled with new shower, lavatory area, floor and mattress. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Parking lot was very well-lit with many bright street lamps, helping drivers and pedestrians feel safe and make it easier to navigate. Breakfast was excellent with many health choices: milk, croissants, eggs, yogurt, pancakes made automatically on a electric pancake maker, fresh fruits, juices, coffee and tea . Light snacks and green tea were also available in the lobby. For our trip, It was not easy to find a good hotel with breakfast and reasonable price in Sequim area. The hotel also locates just a few minutes from Costco so we could get good gasoline price and necessary supplies for our trips to Olympic National Park and Victoria, Canada.
We will definitely book this same hotel for our future visits to the area and highly recommend it to everyone.

We had never been to Sequim before. We liked the small size of the hotel, seemed intimate and cozy. the location is great, close to downtown and whatever else you needed. We'd definitely stay here when in Sequim again.
