We have stayed in this villa many times both with the current and previous owners

Great location. Quiet, peaceful area. Short drive to the Arenal beach front.
We arrived on Sunday lunchtime and there was no gas supply to the property, therefore no hot water which meant cold showers for everyone until the problem was eventually sorted on Thursday lunchtime by connecting a gas bottle as a temporary fix. We had to keep messaging the management company each day for an update rather than the company keeping us informed, as you would expect. We felt, given the eventual fix, that it could have been sorted much more quickly. Not once during this period of no gas supply did we receive an apology from the management company or the owner. We found this very poor. Having hot water is both a basic and essential requirement.
Les from the management company indicated to us that the gas company in Spain will often cut off the gas supply to a property if the gas certificate has not been renewed/updated. We found that alarming, especially if that was the reason for the villa not having a direct gas supply.
