VINTAGE CABIN NEAR NATIONAL PARK W\/ FIREPLACE
About this cabin rental
Nestled in Estes Park, this attractive cabin for $152 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Step a century back in time in my 1920s cabin, minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park and blocks from a great local grocer and the best dining in Estes (Permit 20-NCD0293). My cute 2br sleeps 4 and is fully equipped with a kitchen, living room, sun room, bathroom and more! + 600 Mbps Internet + cozy wood burning fireplace + Awesome location near National Park Absorb yourself in an authentic mountain experience! Wildlife abound since it's close to Prospect Mountain's open space. Real quick -- house rules: - No early check in or late checkouts. Check in is 4pm or later; check out is 10am or earlier. - No smoking inside or out, no outdoor fire pits, no parties - Guests must do dishes on checkout (we have negotiated a lower cleaning fee based on this) - Accurate guest count mandatory; max capacity is 4 humans Onward! Thanks for checking out my cozy 2br mountain cabin, built nearly 100 years ago and lovingly modernized for your comfort I hope you love it as much as I do! Nestled in amongst ponderosa pines, aspen trees, and unique rock outcroppings, my cabin is a super charming mountain getaway. Original knotty pine interior finishes match up well with a stone wood burning fireplace in the living room. There is lots of comfy seating to relax and enjoy a good book, or watch a show/movie on the flat screen TV. We have super speedy WiFi for streaming or work-cations. I am a long-time superhost and while this home has been a vacation home for many years, I have just now assumed ownership, making this a brand new listing. Note that the property is being redecorated and updated, and some of the wall art will be different than shown in the photos. My cabin is about 1000 square feet, including two bedrooms, a living room, a great sun porch with tons of windows, a bathroom with a vintage clawfoot tub, and a kitchen/dining room. The single-level home is perfectly located between downtown and the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, so you're super close to all the best attractions of Estes Park. My favorite restaurant, Bird and Jim, is a quick 1 minute drive. So is our local grocer, Country Supermarket. Before I purchased this home, it was a vacation home for many years under a different owner. Past guests loved it -- here are some of their comments: "... The location is absolutely amazing. It was a 2 minute drive to almost everywhere we visited for food or coffee and so close to the entrance of the National Park." "... In early evening the Elk and Mule Deer would come through the back of the cabin. It was very calming to see. One night a Mule Deer was lying at the bottom of the back stairs, as if he were our dog waiting for us to come home. Loved it." "... This cabin is an original 1923 restored bungalow with hard wood floors, a clawfoot tub and gorgeous views of mountains out of all the windows. It evokes a bygone era but has all the modern amenities you need and want." "... This cozy cabin is an ideal launching point for outdoor adventures in the Park. The front porch is great for viewing the wildlife that passes by. The fireplace is a warm and inviting place to sip hot chocolate or an adult beverage." The cabin rests in a small valley with the Prospect Mountain open space on one side and Giant Track Mountain on the other. This means there is a ton of wildlife roaming around, and you're nearly guaranteed to see elk, deer and other animals wandering through the yard. I recommend AWD or 4WD from May to October - remember that Estes Park is about 7,500 feet and we can get a fair amount of snow. That being said, the property and access is relatively flat. ***** IMPORTANT DISCLOSURES ***** We do have neighbors, so if you are looking for complete seclusion, this isn't your best bet. For that you'll need to search 10 miles or more from Estes Park. Check in is 4PM and check out is 10AM. Estes Park is a super tiny mountain town and there's not a lot of cleaning staff, so I cannot accommodate early check ins and late check outs. ***** BEDROOMS Our home offers 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed. LIVING & ENTERTAINMENT Living Room -There's a smart television with Roku, so you can stream away with your Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sling, Hulu, or other account. WiFi - Our home employs a speedy 600 Mbps WiFi network with no dead zones. LAUNDRY & COOKING Kitchen - Our kitchen features a stove and oven, fridge, freezer, pots, pans, plates, glasses, cutting boards, drip coffee maker and other assorted small appliances so you can cook whatever you'd like before and after your adventures in the National Park. Laundry - We do not have a laundry machine, but a great coin-op facility is a few blocks away. Guest access Guests will have full access to our home, which includes: 2 bedrooms 1 bathroom 1 kitchen/dining area 1 living room with fireplace Awesome deck with views Yard Private off street parking Other things to note NOISE Events, loud music and noises, and parties are strictly prohibited. Please be respectful of your noise levels. NONPAYING GUESTS Insurance requires that nonpaying and non-registered guests are not allowed on property. Your guest count must be correct. Note that in the town of Estes Park, INFANTS COUNT TOWARD THE MAXIMUM GUEST COUNT. AIR CONDITIONER Estes has a mild mountain climate in the summers but from time to time it can get hot. Like nearly every other home in town, there’s no A/C. The cool evening breeze will cool the home down quickly. BEARS Do NOT leave food in your car! Bears frequent this area and can break in!

My husband and 16-year-old daughter spent Thanksgiving week resting and relaxing in this lovely vintage cabin. We read, played games, napped, explored the park, and ate well. Would love to come every year!

Very nice and comfortable cabin, with everything we needed. The 100 year old cabin is very charming with pine board walls and ceilings, and nice wood flooring in the kitchen and bathroom. The only slight downside is the neighborhood. The photos on the website don't show that the cabin is in a relatively dense neighborhood with mixed houses and cabins around, some of which were well kept, others not as much. This property is definitely the nicest. But that was a minor issue and we enjoyed our stay very much.

This quaint cabin has just enough to make the time spent at the cabin enjoyable and lovely. The location is absolutely amazing. It was a 2 minute drive to almost everywhere we visited for food or coffee and so close to the entrance of the National Park. It was a really great choice for us, wanting to be out in nature most of the time.
The cabin has great AC/heating and is very clean. The enclosed porch was a really nice space to read and to eat in.

Quaint cabin in the mountains. Don’t be deterred when you get there by the road quality. I am sure that this keeps the property taxes low because the location is …turn left go to the park…turn right go downtown! My retreat was perfect. Thank you!

Enjoyed the cleanliness and appointments of this home with so much history. Shower tub was a challenge, stepping in and out, but we managed. Liked the screened porch. We found a mouse in the kitchen the last night.

This cabin is an original 1923 restored bungalow with hard wood floors, a clawfoot tub and gorgeous views of mountains out of all the windows. It evokes a bygone era but has all the modern amenities you need and want. Close enough to Estes, but far away from the noise and people to feel surrounded by nature. We woke up one day to find a family of deer on the lawn and resting under a tree! Rocky Mountain National Park entrance is 15 minute drive door to door. This is a true gem and we can't wait to get back! :-)

Very well maintained and refurbished vintage cabin. Super clean and well equipped. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at table outside. It was far better than any restaurants. A few minutes to grocery store, shops and laundry, yet very quiet with good view and very close to RMNP entrance.
