You can't beat being right on the lake, but this house is an odd mixture of upgrades, slapdash DIY projects, and areas that haven't been touched in ages. This gem wannabe is crying for a deep clean, a new deck (but first fix the HVAC drain so it doesn't drip on the deck), and removal of the mounted tire submerged in plain sight at the edge of the lake. Loved the lake view, but the house lacked attention to detail overall.

The accommodations were wonderful. Stephanie was stellar, was so accommodating with the rental chair for my husband. Checked in with us to make sure all was well. Would love to stay here again sometime. Much Thanks, Mary Ann and Bill

This is an old house that has been fixed up. The floors have a few trip hazards. The plumbing was a challenge, in the shower the valves were really hard to turn, also they were reversed. The screened porch chairs very dirty and the screens were torn. The views were beautiful. Many things in disrepair. It was clean except the oven.

The location of the property was great. The kitchen was stocked with all you need to make a great meal. Plenty of towels and linen ( no face towels) no iron. No bbq grill. And the home was spacious enough in itself. However the dock is under repair so even though you are close to the water is still not close enough to throw your pole over to the deepest part of the water to be able to fish. Also, there is an overgrowth of grass and hay that makes trying to go closer to the water very difficult. All of the other piers and docks are private so if you are planning to have a family trip and also be able to fish, you will have to wait until the dock is completed for me to give this place a 5 star rating. With that being said, I give this place a 4 star rating. Also, there is a market within walking distance and I did take the liberty of walking there and everyone in the neighborhood is very nice. And this was an affordable rating to be able to sleep six people.. But it is set up more for a husband and wife and their children. There is a huge comfortable king size bed in one room and in the second room there are 2 bunkbeds. Only one bathroom so for some that could be a struggle.. it was for us… We are two sisters who brought our adult children (male&female)with us. Yet it was enough space for us to be able to figure out sleeping arrangements. This was a birthday fishing retreat for myself.:) & it is a great getaway with beautiful views of mount Konocti . And Stephanie is a great host. And I thank her very much for her communication with me while my family and I were staying. I advise anyone planning to choose this property for their vacation to please read the rulebook before arriving. I would also like to mention that it is a very high cleaning fee, but the rulebook states for you to strip the bed sheets off the bed and make towel piles and to take out trash and to do other prep cleaning work before you leave. So you will pay a very high cleaning fee and do half the work of the cleaning. Also be careful not to open the second cabinet in the bathroom. it is not meant to be opened it is the owners cabinet.
