on Long Lake in Kalamazoo. Secluded in a private neighborhood yet still close
enough to the city and just a short drive when you want to enjoy a good
restaurant or a place to go for fun.
You'll love this amazing lakefront home in where you can make those family
memories you so deserve. Bring your own boat to explore Long Lake, a 575 acre
all sports lake. Enjoy all the amenities of home with a full updated kitchen,
dining table for meals or playing games, and a comfy family room for
conversation or just watching TV. Outdoors, you can relax or have fun in the
open grass of the backyard. Wrap up your night comfortably around our firepit
near the lake or gather around on our deck where you can enjoy our outdoor gas
firepit. Sleep comfortably in 2 bedrooms, each having a queen bed, with an
extra sleeper sofa in the living room to sleep 5 guests. 1.5 bathrooms and
private parking in the driveway.
Awaken the next day to experience lake living all over again!
Please note there is a separate studio home, dubbed the Pigeon House available
for rent at this location separately. Please check out our other listing to

Please note of the following policy in regards to pets:
\- Dogs under 65 pounds are allowed. All breeds are allowed, but Shepherd,
Dobermann, Rottweiler, and Pitbull will require prior approval.
\- Please be responsible of your own pets -- additional charge is applicable
in case of excessive shedding or tearing.
\- The pet fee is $25 per night excluding tax and processing fee with maximum
of 2 pets.

We recently stayed at this lake house and overall it worked well for our family's needs. The layout provided plenty of space, and the location made it easy to enjoy time by the water. Check-in was simple and well organized, with clear instructions that made arrival stress-free.We also appreciated many of the thoughtful amenities provided. Having access to laundry facilities was very helpful for a family stay, and small conveniences like paper plates and other household supplies made our trip more comfortable.That said, the property could benefit from a deeper cleaning and some additional attention to maintenance. We found pet hair/evidence of pets throughout parts of the house, noticed ants in one of the bathrooms, and unfortunately there was pet waste left in the yard. None of these issues completely ruined our stay, but they did impact our overall impression of the property's cleanliness.Overall, the home met our family's needs and offered several appreciated conveniences, but addressing the cleanliness concerns would greatly improve the guest experience.

The house was an old, funky lake cottage. It had a bedroom, half bath and living room upstairs and a bedroom, full bath and kitchen downstairs. The yard was huge with lots of shade to stay out of the sun. There was a cute little beach with access to a channel that lead out to the lake. The tall grass in front of the beach made the yard very private. There is a second rental on the property but we barely saw the other renters. One thing to note is that the water tastes and smells awful so bring drinking water with you or buy it on the way to the house.

Vintage cottage with unique layout. Kitchen is located downstairs with steep stairs not recommended for anyone with physical limitations or small children. Lake view from outside is exceptional but not a good view from inside the home. There is another rental unit on the same property. Communication is good and welcoming.
