Just steps away from the beach, this charming getaway offers the perfect blend of comfort and nature.
The cozy Florida heart pine interior seamlessly blends with the outdoors, thanks to two sets of sliding doors that open to a screened porch and sun deck overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The open floor plan and high ceilings create a spacious and inviting atmosphere, making this home the perfect retreat for anyone seeking tranquility and a touch of luxury.
Hibiscus House is located on Little Gasparilla Island, which is a bridge-less barrier island. You will need to make an appointment with the water taxi, rent a boat, or bring your own boat. Bringing your own boat? The house has access to a community dock that is perfect for fishing or watching the beautiful sunrise over the Boca Grande Causeway. The dock has a 22ft. maximum and only allows 1 boat per household. Boat pass is required - no assigned slips, first come first serve.
For the water taxi, you’ll park your car at Eldred’s Marina and load your luggage on the water taxi there. The water taxi is $30 for up to 2 people, one way. Each additional person is $15, one way. The water taxi is by appointment only and its hours are 8:30-5:00. You can book appointments outside the normal hours of operation, but the cost is higher and varies based on the time.
The dock is about a ¼ mile walk or golf cart ride to the house.
The house sits next to a shared beach access used only by other guests staying on this private island, so there may be some foot traffic, but it is minimal compared to a public beach.
The beach is private to the island, but it is shared among island homeowners and guests. At times, others may choose to sit along the shoreline in front of the home.

Bathrooms: 2 bathrooms - both with walk in showers
Accommodates: 4 guests maximum. No exceptions.

There are not any grocery stores or restaurants on the island, but there is a grocery delivery service.
Golf cart is not included with rental – but there are 2 golf cart rental companies available on the island.
A rental agreement will be sent after booking and must be reviewed and signed by the primary guest to complete the reservation.
Pet policy: $100 per pet. Breed restrictions apply. Prohibited breeds: Akita, Boxer, Bull Terrier, Bullmastiff, Chow Chow, Doberman Pinscher, German Shephard, Giant Schnauzer, Mastiff, Ovtcharka, Presa Canario, Pit Bull, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Rottweiler, Neapolitan Mastiff, Wolf, or Wolf Hybrid.

We stayed for 10 days at the beautiful Hibiscus House. Amazing views from lower and upper decks. You can see the entire island. Amazing decor and cleanliness. Gift basket with snacks, chocolate, a beach bag and even a toy for our dog. Our favorite house yet!

Been going to LGI for 20+ years now, this was the best property as far as closeness to the beach and access to the boat dock. 50 steps outside the door you are on the beach. Wonderful sun deck, excellent kitchen (fully stocked), very clean and well kept, truly a joy. Amazing views, by far my favorite vacation destination.
