The property was great! The top patio was excellent. Spent a lot of time up there. Beautiful view of city and surrounding area. Easy Uber to penguins game. Right there in the middle of the Carson Street entertainment.

The property is going through renovations to improve its appearance. Once completed this location will be amazing. The décor is minimal but has all the necessities needed for your stay. We was disappointed in the some areas with cleanliness but the owner was responsive about this and thanked us for our feedback.

We really loved this property despite the 3/5 stars. I have waited more than six weeks to leave my review to make sure I had time to think it over. This rental was so unique and beautiful. We had more than enough space for three couples, and the location was great. The sink in the upstairs hallway bath did not drain properly. After two of us brushed our teeth we had to wait 5-10 minutes for it to drain. My second complaint is that the extra towels and linen storage area was a disaster. All of the linens looked like they were folded and organized by an 8 year old and were falling off the shelves. Thirdly, on our very first morning we couldnt find enough coffee cups for six people and upon searching we found a dishwasher full of dirty dishes. My biggest frustration about this is that I emailed the homeowner about it and never ever got a response. Last but certainly not least is that although the rooftop patio is a wonderful detail and a great place to hang out, it is very much a “use at your own risk” space. The railing stability is questionable and the floor boards sink when you step on them in some areas around the edge. It is an accident waiting to happen. We had a wonderful time staying at this rental, and are not high maintenance guests by any means but with just a little bit of work and attention, this could have easily been a 5/5. It’s a shame because we really wanted to give it 5 stars.

We had a great stay. The property has so many amazing features and we really enjoyed our time on the rooftop. The property is undergoing some minor updates, which will be amazing once complete!

This house was perfect when we came out to celebrate my son’s graduation from CMU. The location is right off the bridge, allowing us easy access to the campus as we wrapped up and shut down his dorm room. The fully equipped, modern kitchen, allowed us to prepare our healthy meals and not worry about eating out every time. The various floor levels gave us the ability to spread out for quiet time, convene at the kitchen table for a quick game of UNO, or simply watch our favorite team in the living room. This eclectic neighborhood has cute shops to stroll to for morning coffee or explore area for eclectic shopping gems. It rained for a bit during our stay, so we didn’t use the roof top as often as we liked, but the family didn’t feel like they missed out, as there was tons of space and tons to do. The bathrooms are very modern and clean. With the three bathrooms getting ready for the graduation was easy peesy. The central access to any of our destinations from the airport to accessing the city was easy to reach with all the bridges and routes. We will definitely try to get this snap this place up for the next graduation event.

We rented this for our stay for graduation weekend for Pitt. It was the perfect place for us to be able to celebrate the big occasion. The rooftop deck was amazing and there was plenty of space for us to spread out. There was some confusion about the check in process, but once that was straightened out it was a very smooth process. One thing to be aware of is there are no window coverings on two of the bedrooms so you might want to bring a sleep mask if you wake up with the light.

Doesnt look like much from outside, but huge inside - at least 3000 sq. feet inside. Big bedrooms. No shades on windows. Has lots of stairs, steep. Roof top is great. Location gets loud at night or early morning. Shower leaked some to 2nd floor. Told property manager.

We loved our stay in the late 1800's renovated apartment/boarding house, but, it is not for the faint of heart. Four flights of narrow, steep stairs would be difficult for some people to negotiate. The main living area with kitchen, dining, and TV lounge is beautifully and comfortably renovated while still retaining vestiges in the form of wooden doors, flooring, and windows from an earlier age. The bedrooms are comfortable if somewhat sparsely furnished though the back bedroom is in need of blinds or shades. The fourth flight takes one to the "party kitchen" and a roof top deck with the most spectacular views of downtown Pittsburgh. That said, the wooden deck and chairs and table are all in need of refinishing and upkeep, as are many little details in the home. Regardless we loved the enormous space and general feel of the house which kept offering surprises. Another aspect of "not for the faint of heart" is that though the neighborhood is in transition and being revitalized with some very interesting, innovative yet reasonably priced restaurants and other businesses, vestiges of "down and out" linger. (But then, what city in the world today doesn't.) Nevertheless, would we stay here again? Absolutely. In a heartbeat!
