The Savoy Suite Roma is a completely renovated apartment in the center of Rome. With three beautifully decorated bedrooms, a large and comfortable living/dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms, one of them is en suite.The apartment’s location could not be more central for visiting the city of Rome. In one direction, a 10 minute walk will take you to the breathtaking Roman Forum and the Colosseum, as well as the Colle Oppio park (the hill where the Emperor Nero built his golden palace over 2000 years ago.) A 5 minute walk in the other direction will take you to the central train station, where trains leave by the hour for Florence, Venice, Milano, Naples and the Amalfi Coast. Two metro stops are also within a 10 minute walk of the Avalon: Line A (Piazza Vittorio station) will take you in a few minutes to the Spanish Steps with its incomparable shops, as well as to St. Peter’s Square and the Sistine Chapel. Only two stops on Line B (Cavour station) will bring you to the majestic Circus Maximus, where in past millennia ancient Romans staged chariot races. Line B of the metro will also take you to the regular trains to Ostia, where in only thirty minutes you will arrive at the seaside to visit the ruins of Ostia Antica or have a leisurely seafood lunch on the beach.Near the apartment there are very good restaurants and famous stores for Italian breakfast, like Panella and Regoli. Among the Wilson’s services are an English-speaking driver who can do not only simple airport transfers but can also take you on private day tours to places like Pompeii, Vesuvio, Positano on the Amalfi Coast, Florence and Tuscany, Spoleto and Umbria, Tivoli and the Roman Castles. The space was perfect for our group of 4. We spent most of our days walking around Rome, exploring all the beautiful sites it has to offer. It was nice to come home each night to a clean, spacious and safe space. We were impressed with the wonderful layout of the apartment and the amenities. The host even offered a European outlet adaptor and had several other nice touches for your typical “tourist”. The apartment is centrally located and we walked to everything we wanted to see, even the Vatican. We enjoyed getting fresh produce from the market down the street and coming back to make meals at night after a long day on our feet. We would stay here again if we ever get the change to visit Rome again!

This beautiful apartment exceeded our expectations! The building was very secure and our private space was lovely, spacious and very welcoming. We enjoyed Salvatore’s apartment and the surrounding area very much. It is minutes walking from Roma Termini which makes it extremely convenient. The apartment was clean and well laid out, the only thing we missed was a living room space to hang out. The kitchen table became our home base and it worked fine because we were out exploring most of our time. Overall a great experience and would stay again! Thank you for having us!!

Sal was such a wonderful host. His communication, attentiveness, and overall hospitality was beyond my expectations. Eventhough we arrived in the evening, he was there to welcome us and show us around the property. I will recommend this property to any of my friends heading to Rome. Clean, spacious, had all the necessities and very easy to get places.

Great place to stay within a 20 minute walk to the Roman Forum and Colosseum. Easy access to cable car. Steps away from the train station. Wonderful spot with everything up to date. Very kind and generous owner!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Rome and the apartment was the perfect base for our family of four to explore the city. The rooms were all a good size and the apartment was comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. Each room has its own A/C which was excellent! The location is very close to the metro station which we took advantage of some days and other days, we walked to the major sites. The apartment is very close to the Monti neighbourhood where we found some great restaurants. The host was very responsive and hospitable - we definitely appreciated the early check in. Also, if you get a chance to pick up Katherine's book, I highly recommend it - it's a great read!

Everything and more... Salvatore is so attentive to detail and the accommodations were exactly as we expected. Convenient to all the wonderful sites we hoped to see. The Savoy Suite was very clean and spacious. Very well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Salvatore was excellent to deal with, he set up a transfer for us from the airport and arranged early check in for us. The air conditioning was perfect to cool down from the hot weather. It was only a 5 minute walk to Termini Train Station and about a 10 - 12 minute walk to the Colosseum. A little further from the tourist areas, like Trevi Fountain, The Vatican etc. Overall, a great experience!

This is a great property! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We met with Katherine at the gate as we arrived which was really nice because there was no guessing as to how we get in. The building itself was clean and the elevator was easy to use although we didn't really need it as the apartment was only a few steps up being on the first floor. We were travelling with our kids who are 21 and 17 and there was plenty of room for us all to spread out. The apartment was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Communication with Salvatore and Katherine was great. This was our first time staying in VRBO's and we had a few questions which they were quick to respond to. They also arranged transportation to the airport for us without any hassle. Thank you both for making the end of our trip really enjoyable!

I rely on reviews when choosing a place to stay. I want to be fair but honest. Let’s start with the pros of this particular place: Spacious apartment for Italy Walkable to most attractions (as Long as don’t mind walking more than a few miles to get to nice shopping and restaurants). The host was helpful and answered us promptly. Cons: The area around the apartment is dirty. Lots of graffiti on all buildings. Advertised a garden area…no garden area just several garbage cans where garbage is overflowing. If it was hot, I can’t imagine the smell. Didn’t really feel safe coming home late at night so therefore made it hard to go for a late night drink. Advertised rehabbed a few years ago but the entire apartment needs to be painted. It wasn’t the cleanest but not really dirty just looked old. If you decide to stay here I would do a street view prior to booking. Only gave us two towels and since no dryer hard to have clean dry towels. If you have allergies this may not be the best place to stay since old and musty building.

This was a wonderful apartment - beautifully renovated, clean and well appointed. It had everything you would need if you wanted to cook as well as hand soap, paper towel, napkins and extra toilet paper (something we did not find at the other properties we rented in Italy). The apartment was bigger than we expected with plenty of room for 5 adults. Each bedroom had a wardrobe to hang clothes and the bathrooms were spacious. We arrived in Rome early and Salvatore was gracious enough to let us drop our luggage and accommodated an extra, unexpected guest who came with us. He also gave us great suggestions for restaurants and arranged transportation to the airport. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Roma. Thanks Salvatore!

We only stayed for one night during a quick trip to Rome, and this apartment was wonderful. It’s only about a five minute walk from the train station, and the apartment is beautiful and in a lovely building with an elevator. It was sparkling clean, had comfortable beds, and had all of the basic supplies that we needed — saving us a trip to the store. We cannot say enough positive about the owner, Salvatore. He went above and beyond to be helpful and ensure that our trip went off without a hitch. We would definitely recommend this space for anybody looking for a lovely and convenient place to stay in Rome!

Family of four stayed for 5 nights in January, 3 spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms were more than enough space for us. Warm, clean and cozy apartment on 2nd floor, there is an elevator too.. Five minute walk from Termini and walking distance to quite a few attractions. Transit options were unlimited. (Great Conad grocery store on bottom level of Termini opens at 5:30 am.) Salvatore is a gracious host and communication was easy. Would absolutely stay again for sure!

Great spot away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. Great restaurants and shops in the vicinity with only a short walk to the coliseum.

This listing is in a great location convenient to the train station (5 min. walk), down the block from the Metro station, and easy to find by an Uber driver. It is a very beautiful, spacious apartment in a very safe complex and neighborhood. The kitchen and bathrooms include anything you need plus a lot of extras. As a group, we enjoy exploring new cities on foot and walked 12-15 miles each day while wandering around the city. Rome is very walkable but again other forms of transportation are also convenient.

The home was beautiful, clean and as advertised! Impressed with the building having a/c (that actually works!) and an elevator to the apartment on the 2nd floor (although there are still about 5 stairs up to the elevator). Sal was very helpful with locations, maps left at the home and even arranged a driver to the airport upon departure. Thanks Sal!!

My sister and I stayed 5 nts in the Savoy Suites, it was perfect for what we needed. We never cooked, but all the appliances were there to do so. Having 2 full baths was wonderful. There is a grocery store within walking, take your own bags though! We walked with 2 bottles among other things back to the apartment with people staring at us lol If you have the Uber app, you can order a taxi from it, found it to be less than Uber. If I were to return to Rome again, I would stay again. Sal was a wonderful host, even though I texted him nearly every day, even when we were lost while walking at night. Had a great time sitting at the kitchen table, chatting with mt sister and waiting on her lost luggage before we cruised 10 days. Thank You Sal for your beautiful hospitality!!
