About this apartment rental

This property is in the heart of the beautiful farmland of the Dungeness Valley. It's big sky country here with beautiful sunrises and majestic sunsets. The Olympics are the backdrop of one of the most favored pastoral settings on the Olympic Peninsula. On the property, this year we have a little Hereford calf named Terminator, then there’s the milk goats Mirabelle and Clara Day, you will enjoy watching the fully plumed male turkey “plump” strutting around in a pasture that the rental overlooks. Donkey “Fergus” watches over the farm while the Bassett Hounds play with the cats and the ducklings swim in the garden pond. You will be 1 mile from the Straight of Juan De Fuca and 1 mile from the Olympic Discovery Trail. The gateway to the Olympic National Park and the famous Hurricane Ridge is just a few miles down the road. The Olympic Peninsula in Washington State has so much to offer for the active outdoor enthusiast, too many activities and adventures to list here but just a few are; Bigfoot scouting in the Olympic National Forest, biking, The Discovery Trail, Kayaking , day hiking or backcountry hiking in the Olympic National Park, The Hoh rainforest and hot springs resort, boating the pristine waters of Lake Crescent. Big game or deer hunting in the nearby National Forest, fishing the Dungeness river, Dinner at Docside Grill at the famous John Wayne Marina and so much more. Sequim is a quaint town with great restaurants and bakeries to enjoy. The Lavender Festival happens every July. The Dungeness Valley is bordered by The Straights of Juan De Fuca and The Puget Sound with its many cozy coves and islands. The Dungeness Lighthouse is a great kayaking destination nearby. There are kayaks to rent on the property . The Olympic Game Farm is only 3 miles away and the ferry to Victoria BC is only a short drive down the road close enough to go for a day trip. If your looking for a quiet getaway or a place to stay while you explore, this is a great location for you. Reminder; this is a farm setting with animals,
in the middle of farmed hay and cow fields and while the apartment is pet free it may not be suitable for people with allergies/ sensitivities. https://www.rosshamiltonphotography.com/

The place was clean and cozy, nice and quiet too. We enjoyed the animals on the property. The kitchen was well stocked except for materials to wash dishes. The bed was comfortable too. Overall a very charming farm stay

While the property and view were lovely, a couple of things tainted my stay here. I felt I should have been informed in advance that the microwave in the kitchen was not working. Most of the food I brought with me for breakfast and lunch required a functioning microwave, so this caught me off-guard and was quite an inconvenience. I would have brought other things entirely if I had known. Since the property is a good 5 miles away from any restaurant, it's really up to the owners to let the customers know so we can plan ahead. Also, the electrical outlets in the bathroom were not working, so I could not use them for blow drying hair or plugging in any other device. Another inconvenience. When you rent a place like this, you do expect that everything will be in working order, so these things were a disappointment.
