Located in Sullivan, this charming house for $375 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Large secluded oceanfront home within a minute of Tidal Falls with recently renovated outdoor entertaining space. Watch the lobsterman and wildlife from pretty much any place in the home, the huge deck, or the relaxing hot tub. This home can comfortably sleep 12 people. This home is just a short drive from Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Ellsworth, and many other Down East attractions along the coast. -- THE PROPERTY -- Master Bedroom: King Bed | Bedroom 2: Queen Bed | Bedroom 3: Queen Bed | Basement: 6 Twin Bunk Beds | This home has 3,400 square feet of living space, with a large main room which includes a 50'' 4k TV, wood stove, and open kitchen with granite countertops. Downstairs, the giant basement includes 11' tall ceilings, a 75'' 4k TV, multiple couches, and a ping-pong table / pool table. Outdoors there is a huge deck the wraps around the entire property, with large outdoor seating area, a propane grill, and lobster pot with propane cooktop. Downstairs, we recently did significant landscaping work with an 1800 square foot blue stone patio, custom fire pit, and eight Adirondack chairs. There is a beautiful overlook spot with a hammock and a granite step walkway to the water where you can collect Mussels for dinner. The home also includes a massive hot tub and multiple kayaks. The owners live nearby and will take guests on the water in his 21' center console boat to experience the nearby tidal falls, experience pulling lobster traps, and if we're lucky, we can see the seals playing in the rapids (depending on the owner availability). POLICIES and OTHER INFO-- - Like most Maine homes, this property is on a septic system and well water. This means large groups may need to manage their water use at times to prevent issues with the septic system. The water at this property is salty out of the tap. However, an RO system in the kitchen ensures perfect drinking water and ice. Details on how you can help us maintain our property will be included in your welcome guide. - No smoking - No pets allowed - No events, parties or large gatherings - Must be at least 25 years old to book - Additional fees and taxes may apply

An adorable house perfect for the big family stay. Loved the amenities and waterfront so we could enjoy collecting mussels. Be careful to not drive past the driveway, but enjoy all the extra steps the hosts take to go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Stocked kitchen, pantry, linen closets, and bathrooms were amazing. Hot tub and fire pit made for great relaxation spot after hiking in Acadia all day.

This home is located on the bay, and your back yard is literally the woods, which gives you the best of both of the wildlife world. With the tide going in and out, you can swim or search for ocean life. Everything that you could need for the week, is supplied at the house. The Muchemores were more than friendly, and extremely helpful. I would go back to this home in a heartbeat. There really is so much to offer in the area, so keep everyone happy, and you feel like staying at the house, then again, everyone is happy. Thanks to the Muchemore family for a wonderful week.

We chose this beautiful house to host a family reunion to Maine and it did not disappoint! It is an amazing setting right on the bay with access to the beach where we picked mussels at low tide, enjoyed the sea kayaks, and watched the stars from the fire pit. So many activities for the kids and adults. On top of this, Austin graciously took us all out on his boat where he toured us around the bay, picked lobster traps, and the highlight - seeing porpoises play right in front of us. The hosts were highly responsive and attuned to our family plans. Bonus was the helpful knowledge of where to spot wildlife and local places to visit with the kids. Overall an excellent experience. Would recommend to anyone. We will be back!

We had so much at this home. We were traveling 4 adults and 5 children ages 11-16. The location on the water, the outdoor firepit, hot tub and amazing lower level kids room were top notch! Austin was a wonderful host and super responsive to our questions and any small hiccups we had during the stay. We enjoyed Acadia, Bar Harbor, Tidal Falls, and the kitchen was well stocked and large enough for our group's first annual pie bake off. Kids are already begging to come back. Highly recommend.

We love Maine and specifically Acadia! This was great home base for our vacation. We spent mornings mostly in Acadia, both on MDI and the Schoodic Peninsula. It sits between them both so the location was great. We spent the afternoons at the property relaxing and exploring. We dug mussels and cooked them as the hosts suggest, which was a blast. The Muchemores are fantastic. They met all our needs including bringing us something we needed at night and providing a high chair when they didn’t have one listed. They were beyond accommodating. They also took us for a ride on their boat where we saw 15+ seals and lots of islands, pulled lobster traps, etc. The Tidal Falls down the road were great, don’t miss that. It’s a great place to picnic. We loved being on the water, enjoying the fire pit at night, the fire pit table on the balcony in the mornings, and the very nice hot tub! Maine is the best and the Muchemores made it even better. Thanks to you guys!

Every year we pick a new destination for our family vacation. This year it was Maine. We are a family of nine - six adults and three children. This house was the perfect size for us. Austin and Chantelle were wonderful hosts. The house had everything we needed. Harvesting mussels and looking for starfish right in our backyard was a bonus. The hot tub was very enjoyable and the perfect end to a day of hiking in Acadia. Sitting around the fire pit after dark and gazing at the stars was a nightly thing. Austin and Chantelle were quick to respond to any question we had. The list of recommendations was also very helpful. I highly recommend this property.

House very nice, clean, spacious and in a great setting. Had numerous sightings of bald eagles while sitting on patio. Grandchildren enjoyed own space in the lower floor bunk area with pool/ping-pong table. We all enjoyed exploring in the water and picking mussels.
Numerous options in area for activities. About 40 min. drive to Bar Harbor.
Owners very responsive to our needs and very pleasant to deal with. They even provided a boat ride where we saw seals and porpoises. This was one of the highlights of our trip.

The only thing that wasn't perfect was the weather and I think that if our hosts coukd have changed that they would have. Lovely property, quiet, secluded but also easy to get to everything. We will definitely be back to Maine!

My family and I loved our stay at Camp Muchemore. Our hosts helped us with everything we needed and even gave us a boat tour of Frenchman's Bay to do some seal watching (our kids favorite part of the trip).
We traveled in to Acadia or Bar Harbor every day, and when we wanted to unwind, we would enjoy the ocean views or kayak right from the backyard.

This house and property is amazing! It was perfect for our extended family of 8 people, including adults, teens and preteen. Loved having a space downstairs for the kids to hang out. Kayaks were fun to take out and the hot tub and fire pit were a hit with everyone. Kitchen had everything we needed, and then some, including a lobster pot and utensils, outside propane stove and grill. Highly recommend.

We spent 5 days here and it was great! Location was perfect, within 30 min to drive to all areas we needed. Close to town for groceries yet far enough away to hear the ocean waves. Great amenities at the house. We loved every minute

The property was amazing and even better than the pics! The Muchemores were great hosts and checked in with us multiple times. We even went on an amazing boat ride with Austin as he gave us a little tour. This was the kids favorite part because we saw a seal! I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with plenty of breathtaking views and top notch hosts!

This home was perfectly represented online and more. The sleeping accommodations were perfect for our large family. We had two infants and they provided all the cribs so we did not have to rent. The location was perfectly situated to Acadia, and Bar Harbor. The owners were responsive when we corresponded with them. I did not want to leave it was so beautiful.

We loved loved loved everything about this house. We had some hiccups with our flights being cancelled and delayed. It was so great to come to a house that had everything there and ready after flight stress. It was amazing for the kids and teenagers. It was enough space four our families which was a total of 8 people. Loved the location as well! Would stay again!

Our experience in Maine was incredible and having this property was great. The view is breathtaking from morning sun shining off the water to the gorgeous stars at night. Two places to sit with a fire going, plus the comfortable setting inside. I wish we had more supplies for cooking but we made it work. The home owners were so responsive and attentive to whatever we needed and made sure we had enough of everything we needed. The drive to Acadia was about 40 minutes which we did everyday but it was a beautiful drive and easy. I wish we had more time because we could have just stayed at the house a couple days and had plenty to so. I would stay here again! Thank you Chantell and Austin!

We enjoyed our visit to the Bar Harbor area. Everything about this trip was perfect. The accommodations, the owners, the weather, the scenery, the fun and the list goes on. We would highly recommend staying at this beautiful home. The owners are super nice. Their personal touches made our stay more enjoyable. They even left us a welcome basket filled with so many goodies. Austin took us out on his boat for a fun ride around the area where we collected some crabs and lobsters. The kids loved seeing the numerous starfish and other sea creatures at low tide. If you are looking for a place to stay in this area, you will not be disappointed booking this home. This home and the Muchemores are definitely five stars in our book!! We would stay here again!

The location and the house were wonderful. Very secluded spot yet still a short driving distance to beautiful sights, restaurants, and other necessary amenities. The hosts were great and very helpful. Our family had a great time, and we highly recommend this property.

I would give this property more stars if I could. The whole process could not have been easier. The house is well stocked with everything you need and SUPER clean. The Maine gift basket was also a nice touch. The star gazing from the deck was great and so was the location.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay! The home is beautiful, and the views are stunning! There was plenty of room for all 6 adults and 2 kids and no shortage of fun activities as well. We walked around the beach, played corn hole, the kids used the hot tub and we built a fire. We had a fair amount of meals at the house but also went it to town and tried out some places that the Muchmore's recommended. Everything was wonderful! I hope we get to go back again and stay. It's a nice distance from Acadia, where we spent several afternoons. The grocery store and restaurants are within a good driving distance as well. We went out on the ocean with Austin in his boat on our last day and had such a great time looking at the lobster traps and all the sites! It was an A+ stay!

What an awesome house on / overlooking the bay with all the amenities you will need. We enjoyed collecting our own mussels & crabs and then steaming them up for dinner, Coffee in the hot tub while watching the seals and sitting around a nice bonfire at night. The hosts are very friendly and very responsive to requests. The house is centrally located for all we wanted to do -Schoodic Point, Bar Harbor, Bass Harbor & Bangor. We would definitely recommend if your planning a trip to Maine.

This house was everything and more. It had everything we needed, with tons of extras. The beds, towels, couches were all so comfy. The hot tub was wonderful and the location can’t be beat with the waterfront to explore during low tide. We drove into Acadia a few days and it was a scenic and quick trip. The owners were wonderful and provided great recommendations. We highly recommend this property as it has been one of our favorites.

Austin and Chantelle were wonderful hosts- even taking us out on their boat to look for lobsters. The house is the ideal rental- very comfortable, plenty of places to relax and unwind. They’ve thought of everything. Would go back in a heartbeat!

This is our 9th summer renting through VRBO (always different properties) and this property might have been our best find to date! The house was perfect for our two families (4 adults and 5 kids ages 9-15) - super clean with tons of space an amenities. One of the great things was that we always shop and cook and this was by far the best place we've rented for kitchens both in terms of space AND supplies - plenty of pots, pans, dishes, spices, etc. to cook for 9 for a week. The kids loved having their own space in the basement with tons to do. The waterfront was gorgeous with no lack of sea stars, crabs, periwinkles, mussels, etc to discover. We spent 3 days hiking Acadia and getting there and back was super easy and the house was also convenient to Ellsworth for shopping and groceries. Chantelle and Austin were great hosts being super responsive and friendly and going out to pull lobster traps with Austin and his daughter was a fun trip! PS. Stop in at Momo's for Cheesecake - you won't be disappointed!

We had a fabulous week. We spent 5 days hiking in Acadia and one day exploring Bar Harbor. The cabin was such a comfortable, awesome place to stay. We ate in most nights in the kitchen/great room. We did eat at Ironbound one evening- highly recommend. Chantell and Austin are welcoming helpful hosts. Austin took us on a boat ride and we picked up some lobsters! Delicious! We would definitely return! Thanks for a wonderful Maine vacation that was long awaited.

Our family had a great week at the house. There was something for everyone to enjoy. We harvested and ate mussels one evening. We had ping pong and corn hole tournaments. We kayaked and sat on the porch enjoying the views. The house is very clean and well equipped. The beds are comfortable. It’s located in a secluded spot in the woods but the grocery store and restaurants are just minutes away. It’s a great place to stay!

A piece of PARADISE
This property was stunning! Inside and outside. The serene setting and gorgeous views were breathtaking. We enjoyed ourselves every second. Whether we were relaxing, playing on the shore when the tide went out, hiking or simply waking up to the cool ocean breeze hitting your face every morning. We fell in love with Maine and this home. We can't wait to come back. The Muchemore's are the BEST ! We can't thank them enough.

Amazing experience and amazing hosts
I rarely give a all-around 5-star but this was really a great stay and Austin and Chantell were great host, possibly the best I have ever had as a guest with my family. I say this in consideration of the fact that a water issue happened during our stay. They both fully dedicated themselves to solve the issue (promptly) and to still make our stay enjoyable. They were extremely attentive and available for anything across our stay, and the house itself is just amazing, clean and very enjoyable. Thanks!

Maine vacation
House was absolutely beautiful and clean. The pictures don’t show the true beauty of this home . The home was well equipped with everything you could think of! There was 10 of us and plenty of space for everyone . The view from the home is stunning! At low tide you can walk along the shore and find all sorts of things . Mussels, starfish, crabs, snails , etc. we saw deer and even bald eagles. I would highly recommend this home. You won’t be disappointed.

Fun, secluded, beautiful place
Our family and my college roommate's family had a wonderful time here. From the moment you turn down the twisty driveway you feel you are worlds away from any neighbors, but in reality it is a quick drive to the little stores in Hancock or well-equipped Ellsworth. The view is amazing. Our kids range from 8-16, and everyone had a great time - ping pong, pool, movies, games, kayaks, hot tub - there was something for everyone. We walked down to Tidal Falls Preserve, and the tide was low enough that we walked home along the shore. We went on the puffin cruise by Robertson Sea Tours, and went to Acadia a couple times. Gull Rock Pottery down the road was another lovely stop. Austin was very quick to respond to the couple of questions we had, and there was a binder with helpful information. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Completely enjoyed our stay at this property. Everything was just as described and very clean. We had everything that we needed and the location was perfect - close to Acadia, Bar Harbor, airport in Bangor, and local restaurants and shops. Spent a lot of our time on the deck around the fire, enjoying the view of the bay and the great weather. Owners were very reponsive whenever we had questions. Highly recommend!
