GUESTS
Your reservation total is the maximum for the stay, day and night. Additional guests or daytime visitors need our written approval in advance. Anyone on the property who isn`t on the reservation may end the stay without a refund.
NO PARTIES OR EVENTS
Strictly prohibited. Violations carry a $500 charge plus damages and any additional cleaning, and possible immediate removal without a refund.
QUIET HOURS — 10 PM TO 8 AM
All outdoor activity moves inside by 10 PM. Outdoor string lights off at the same time.
PARKING AND NEIGHBORS
Park only where your check-in details instruct. Never block a neighbor`s driveway, mailbox, or access, and never park on a neighbor`s property. Where street parking is prohibited, it`s prohibited. No loud music, shouting, or disruptive behavior, inside or out.
PET-FREE HOME
This home doesn`t allow pets, and we keep it that way for guests with allergies who count on it. Evidence of an animal: $200 minimum.
SERVICE ANIMALS
Welcome at every home, no fee and no approval needed. Every rule above applies equally. Emotional support animals are not service animals and fall under the standard pet policy.
SMOKING AND VAPING
Prohibited inside, always, in every form. Outside, stay 25 feet from any door and from neighboring properties. Evidence of outdoor smoking: $75. Smoking inside is not a fine — it`s actual remediation cost plus revenue lost from blocked nights, and runs $250 to $2,000 and up.
CAMERAS AND MONITORING
Many homes have exterior cameras. There are never cameras inside. Some homes have noise monitoring that measures decibel levels only — no audio is recorded. Tampering with any device: $100 minimum and possible removal.
IF SOMETHING BREAKS
Every reservation includes a $25 waiver covering $500 in accidental damage. It has one condition: damage must be reported through this platform`s message thread when it happens. Damage found after checkout that was never reported falls outside the waiver.
FURNITURE
Please leave it where you found it. Moved furniture carries a $100 minimum repositioning charge.
SAFETY
Children supervised at all times. Fire pits, BBQs, pools, hot tubs, and yard games are used at your own risk. Fire bans and wildlife advisories change quickly — please check current conditions during your stay.

As beautiful a place as the pictures show. Very nice location with easy on and off of freeways. Close to downtown yet in a very quiet and safe neighborhood. The house is very well taken care of and very clean inside and out. Christie, the host was super in helping make sure all went smooth with check-in and assuring all was going well during our 7 nights stay. We had a small issue with the front door lock and she herself took care of it right away even though we didn't arrive until later in the evening. GREAT customer service! My wife and I both agree that Christie was very good with communications. It was a little cool weather wise for a dip in the pool for this old guy but it looked very clean and inviting. Property is beautiful with plants and flowers and very well taken care of. King size bed was very comfortable and for us a large master bedroom and bath were also very, very nice. The house seems bigger than the square footing would suggest. Yes, we would stay here again! We enjoyed eBike rides, waterfalls, Lassen Volcanic National Park, Shasta Dam, Lake Shasta Caverns and a dinner cruise. We also spent two and a half hours touring the Behrens-Eaton House Museum which is a Victorian-style home built in 1895 and was very interesting.

My son’s family decided to come for a surprise last minute visit during Kool April Nights week and the Charade house was the perfect home away from home for our family! As we arrived later in the evening, we had accidentally left the car trunk open and a kind neighbor came and let us know. I was so grateful and felt safe with people looking out for us! The neighborhood was beautiful with a little park just a short walk away. We loved all the little details of the home! Although we didn’t use it, the fireplace had an intimate seating area that my son and his wife cozied up to with drippy candles and a sea scape vibe. The kitchen was beautiful and spacious with the bar, dining table and breakfast nook. My daughter in-law and I enjoyed early morning coffee and cool evenings outside on the patio under lights. We made memories cooking together with all the conveniences of home! My younger grand girls loved having their own room with bunk beds!! My older teenage grand girl and I were in love with the room she chose that had fairy lights on the windows and a papasan reading chair, a space that truly felt dreamy. Even though I thought it was too chilly, my son’s family coming from Tahoe enjoyed a cold dip in the pool! Afterwards, the grand girls jumped into the luxurious master bath and warmed right up! Extra towels a bonus!!Our host made our stay comfortable and quickly responded to questions. I would highly recommend the Charade house. We look forward to returning!

We had a great time here at the charade house. Any issues we encountered were met with a swift turn around time from management. Overall it was a nice house and suited our needs for a quick family vacation.
