About this house rental
Nestled in Yachats, this lovely house for $216 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Monthly vacations offer the luxury of time- available for a 30-45 night stay...enjoy your Oregon coast getaway at The Lighthouse, a uniquely shaped beach house that is sure to please those looking for a memorable experience. This unique round home, reminiscent of a lighthouse, has fantastic views of the waves crashing on the basalt rocks...just like a lighthouse perched on a promontory. When the wind blows fair, open the sliding glass doors wide to bring in the sights and sounds of the sea. On the entry level you will find two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a king bed that can be split into two twins. Between each bedroom is a full bath to share. A roomy den at the end of the hall has a sliding door out to the lower deck and offers ocean views. A space saving Murphy bed is available in this room, and with it folded up, you can enjoy extra space for television or playing cards and board games. Upstairs, appreciate the magnificent views of the waves crashing on the basalt rocks Yachats is known for. Enjoy the open concept living/dining/kitchen where the view of the ocean can be seen from any of these spaces. Curl up in a comfy chair and watch the storms roll in or enjoy a beautiful sunset. Off the living room is the master bedroom with ensuite bath for added privacy. This home is outfitted with all you could need to enjoy an incredible extended vacation of 30-45 nights. A short walk to one of the most scenic streets on the central coast will lead you to a set of steps to the sand in Yachats Bay. At high tide, you will walk right past a blow hole and the bay will be filled with water and sea life. At low tide, the bay turns into a wonderful cove-like sand beach. You are also walking distance to the town of Yachats where you will find fabulous dining, fresh seafood and wonderful shops to explore. Just a short drive south you will find Cape Perpetua Scenic Area for hiking, whale watching, and the highest viewpoint accessible by car on the Oregon coast, Heceta Head Lighthouse, and many beach turnouts to be able to explore the coastline. Sleeps up to 8 - 3 Bedrooms, 2 Queens, 1 King (can be split into two twins with 72 hour prior notice), 1 Murphy bed in den, 2.5 Baths. Vehicles: Licensed for 3 (Strictly enforced- No street parking allowed) This home does not allow cat guests or other non-human, non-canine visitors. Dogs are welcome at this home but must be registered in advance and paid prior to arrival. This home has a 3-dog maximum occupancy! Pet Guests: One time $35+tax fee per dog. Pet fees are not included in the original reservation. Age Requirement: The primary registered guest must be at least 26 years of age. The majority of guests must be over 25, or children under adult supervision. *Each home is individually owned. Amenities and furnishings are subject to change at any time. This home is fantastic. It is located near the beach and has a great view of the crashing waves from the main living space. The beds were comfortable. We had a wonderful time staying here.

While the view is stunning, the cleaning crew the property management company is using is not worth the amount that's being changed on our bill. The window sills are dirty, the carpet had a battery and a chunk of dirt or a rock in it (the battery is now on the TV stand upstairs). Additionally, the home is pretty run down-the light fixture in the upstairs full bathroom is corroded, the window sills are dirty, the outside light on the front of the house is missing a bulb, the tub faucet in the upstairs bathroom is loose, one of the the sliding glass doors to the upstairs balcony is very difficult to open, the other one can't be opened at all. I tried to send pics to the management company, but they were too large for the communication, and the property management company did not take me up on my offer to send the pictures separately. When I notified the property management company of these issues, they appreciated my comments and also expressed concern that I didn't contact the property manager (who should know about these issues in the first place, if the property was being well managed). I contacted the entity to whom I paid money. It is their responsibility to take responsibility for the property maintenance and not deflect issues to those they employ. While the view is lovely, I would not recommend this property to anyone unless and until some routine maintenance is completed.

We have stayed with Sweet Homes on other multiple occasions and have been very impressed and well accommodated for our time away from home. However this particular home held more disappointment during our stay. We experienced bugs in bedding, the blinds were very difficult to handle because they were already halfway broken, too much light through the windows in the morning ( maybe consider blackout curtains or something that will give a little more shade ) the toaster was ancient and wouldn’t work properly on a few occasions, stairway railings had a lot of dust and dirt built up that we discovered, there were no dvds provided in the home that was listed in the home description so luckily we brought our own Roku for streaming services. The 2 twin beds and the murphys bed worked great however the other 2 queen beds were very uncomfortable and too small to sleep in. We have had king size beds in other homes we’ve stayed in which we’re much more pleasing. We honestly enjoyed our time away and out of the home more than we did in it. It was okay but again we weren’t that impressed by the quality of this home. The view was beautiful and the living room space was lovely but other than that we had a hard time feeling very at home and comfortable.

My two friends and I really enjoyed the lovely ocean views accented with rock formations from the 2nd floor living room and kitchen areas, which were modern, well decorated and roomy. The first floor had a smaller seating area which might have also had a full ocean view, but there was a privacy hedge that was too high to see over it. The three bedroom house was in an interesting neighborhood where all the houses were unique and not too close to each other. You could easily walk from the house to the beach, which had mixed sand and rock areas. It was a quick drive to the heart of Yachats. Thumbs up for sure on this place.

We had a great time at this beautiful home. Clean and views from the living are are outstanding. We saw lots of whales with binoculars from the couch.

We loved the Lighthouse. The house was very comfortab le and had a well stocked kitchen. Very clean with plenty of towels. Having a TV room on the lower level was perfect for the kids. We had a wonderful visit with the family with views of sunsets. I would recommend new mattresses for the queen beds.

Great location & plenty of room to spread out. Nice beach vibe with comfortable furniture. Lovely, quiet neighborhood with easy access to both the rocky shore & small Sandy beach down the road.
Pretty clean overall but one guest stepped on a rusty tack in the rug & there was black mold in the window & sliding door tracks that prevented us from opening them to enjoy the mild sea breezes.
Kitchen was adequately appointed to make meals for a group. Could use a toaster oven. The water kettle had terrible rust inside and should absolutely be replaced!
Like everyone says, the view from the living room & upper deck is amazing & the highlight for us, besides the stellar sunsets, crashing waves & nearby spouting horn, was morning drama with a sea lion, seagulls & 3 bald eagles fighting over fish right in front of us. So exciting!
Overall, we all liked the house & would definitely consider it again.

The house is right next to the ocean. You can clearly see the ocean from the upstairs living room and kitchen. The house is very clean and well stocked with towels and paper goods. Check in and out was extremely easy.

Yachats Trips
The location is fantastic. Great views of the ocean from the elevated deck just across a local one lane road across from the ocean. The house is nicely decorated and had adequate room for the six of us. Had a minor issue with the coffee pot which was promptly taken care of by the local management team. The reason for the 4 stars is the two queen beds in two of the bedrooms are bargain basement quality and completely worn out. A poor night's sleep makes an otherwise perfect stay a marginal 4 stars.

Beautiful views and excellent space
This place is incredible! It could easily be considered 4 bedroom. The view from the upstairs livingroom and kitchen are amazing and it is an excellent entertaining space. We caught a bunch of crab in Waldport and had everything needed for a huge feast.
We are recommending this space to all our friends.
