I visited the Soria region in August 2026 for the Total Solar Eclipse and stayed at a couple of locations during the time. I had done some online research about El Cielo de Muriel, a Starlight-certified hotel and restaurant built for astrotourism and was genuinely intrigued. It proved to be an exceptional location for astrophotography projects, offering great terrace setups. I would highly recommend this hotel not just for its prime dark-sky location, but also for its wonderful hospitality. The front desk staff—Rochelle and Jasmine—were extraordinarily helpful in accommodating my early bag-drop requests, guiding me to local spots, and even looking after me by serving meals during quite late lunch hours. To top it all off, the hotel provided the comforts of incredible cuisine crafted by Chef Jose, whose dishes made every meal a highlight.

Breakfast choice very limited and no refrigerated counter for cold meats and cheese
