About this cottage rental
On Clam Lake (a 5 min boat ride to Torch Lake) & a great location for water sports, spend time with family & friends Up North at this secluded cottage. Use our dock to park your boat or rent one from the nearby marina.
Paddle boards & kayaks included. Visit the local winery, brewery & shops less than 10 minutes away. Enjoy a BBQ on the back patio or roast s'mores at the water's edge. Home is 3 bedroom + loft. Fast internet in case you have to work a bit
Bedroom 1: King & desk to work | Bedroom 2: Queen | Bedroom 3: Trundle bed (Twin, Double & Full) | Bedroom 4: Loft space with queen
Additional Sleeping: Pack n Play, Queen mattress that fold out from a beanbag and a futon in covered patio
AMENITIES: paddle boards, kayaks, 4 person paddle boat, fishing poles, life jackets, tube, bikes and helmets. 4 person golf cart available for use as long as waiver is signed!
INDOOR LIVING: 75in TV, board games, electric fireplace, beer fridge, covered patio
OUTDOOR LIVING: Private flat huge yard with outdoor patio with seating and propane fireplace, fire pit by water’s edge, gas grill, 2 kayaks and 2 inflatable paddle boards, playset for kids with slide, swings, and bars.
KITCHEN: Fully equipped with the cooking essentials, dishes, silverware, microwave, oven, kitchen table, coffee pot, electric hot water kettle, instapot, pots/pans and cast iron, toaster, serving trays, etc.
OTHER: fast wifi, complimentary toiletries, linens & towels, central heating & air conditioning, washer/dryer and soaps
ACCESSIBILITY: Stairs to king size bedroom and loft, everything else is on the main level
PARKING: Driveway (3 vehicles or 2 vehicles and 1 trailer) and roadside parking

Neighborhood is nice and quiet - a few streets off the "busy" main road
Great for morning or afternoon walks/bikes with the group
Other things to note
- Look out at the Natural Preserve across the lake from our spot - completely unobstructed views- very quiet but if you want action, you can take a boat to Torch from our place and join the party at the Sand bar or park the boat and eat at Dockside. Fish or cold plunge up at Cold Creek on the Clam River.

We had the best family vacation with our 5 kids and 2 grandparents. House fit us well and was perfect for our needs. Large property so kids can play but still not have to worry about them running off to the water alone. My youngest enjoyed the toys at the house and older children enjoyed all of the board games.
The lake was beautiful and calm. We rented a tritoon from Dockside, which I would highly recommend. We were able to dock at the house which was so convenient. We enjoyed boating on Clam Lake and Torch Lake and visiting the Sandbar on Torch. The shed had all the toys you would need to enjoy Clam Lake, my boys all went kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and Paddle boating. Clam lake is calm and not too busy especially early in the morning and in the evening so I wasn't worried about my boys while they were kayaking across the lake to enjoy the wildlife.
While vacationing we also visited Sleeping Bear Dunes, Pierce Stocking scenic drive, Moomers Ice cream and went Cherry Picking at Kings Orchard. Traverse City is also a great place to visit but we just didn't have enough time to do it all. We love vacationing in Northern Michigan and can't recommend this property enough. Janessa and Tim were wonderful hosts, the house had everything you could want and they were very responsive to questions about the property and surrounding area.

Our Family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage!
Peaceful with great lakefront views… huge yard with plenty of room for the little ones without the worry of being too close to the water. The grill was great and the kitchen very accommodating! The beds were comfortable making for some sweet dreams!
We rented a pontoon to enjoy Clam Lake and Crystal clear Torch Lake. Docked at the cabin for easy use.
Beautiful sunsets and Mother Nature was cooperative
With being weather!.
We would highly recommend this property to others!!!

Clam Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in MI and feeds into the magnificent Torch Lake. This home has many amenities that we enjoyed. The kayaks were some of the best we have used. The lake was calm in the early mornings, making waking up with the loons on the lake something quite special. The fire pit was prepped and ready to keep us warm in the cool evenings. Giant jenga gave us endless laughs. The kitchen was comfortable to work in and was well appointed. The outdoor deck was enjoyable for evening cocktails and dining Al fresco. The mature trees, well manicured lawn, beautiful flowers and even a herb planter were enjoyed by our party. Some disappointments: the downstairs bedroom does not have a closet, does not have a shelf or even a dresser to unpack personal items. A simple dresser with drawers would have made a big difference; the sunroom has a side door that cannot be secured for safety; the upstairs bathroom toilet leaks; the downstairs bathroom sink does not drain without rigging the stopper and the kitchen disposal did not work consistently. The premium price of this home will be justified, if these few items are addressed.
