Spacious cabin, very well located. Easy check-in, calm surroundings.
The thing that stroke us the most was the fact that there were no black-out blinds in the bedroom, and there are SEVEN windows around the bed, with solely wooden Venetian blinds that do not really cut out the light (and it's Iceland so in the summer you have daylight for 24h) - it's the first place on the island where we encountered that and it made our stay quite uncomfortable. The worst aspect is that upon arrival you find a piece of paper informing that the owners SELL sleeping masks - which we found kind of offending, given that they did not care to instal proper curtains....

Die kleine Hütte liegt rund 20 Kilometer von Selfoss entfernt in einer kleinen Streusiedlung. Es ist dort sehr ruhig, nachts auch sehr dunkel, sodass sich in einer Nacht aus dem Wohnzimmerfenster heraus Polarlichter beobachten ließen. Kleine Toilette, die Dusche ist seperat im Vorraum, sodass niemand warten muss, wenn der eine duscht, um auf Toilette zu gehen. Vom Schlafzimmer aus hat man eine tolle Aussicht, wir haben morgens sogar Schneehühner direkt vorm Fenster gehabt. Der Spiel- und Kletterturm ist gut, die Parkplätze sind direkt an der Hütte. Superweiches Toilettenpapier. Altglascontainer nur rund 50 Meter entfernt am Wendehammer.
Die Bratpfanne hat schon bessere Tage gesehen.

Bellissimo cottage, abbiamo anche visto l'aurora boreale da qui! Estremamente accogliente, provvista di tutto (anche shampoo, balsamo, schiuma da barba) e spazi davvero grandi. Sarei rimasta volentieri più notti.
