Cozy small hotel with a gorgeous beach and a beautiful pool. Room was very clean and the balcony was beautiful. We loved it so much last year we came back again.
Food: Everything was kosher and the food was fairly good - it is not gourmet style but plentiful and we always found something we liked. For anyone complaining about the food being the same every day - that is not true. They also tried hard to incorporate some Greek dishes like stuffed eggplant, artichoke politia and stifado, while being kosher. And from my experience (as a teen I did not keep kosher), ive been to many nonkosher hotels in Greece in my youth where the food was much less varied and less fresh - one served pasta pie every single day (that was a 4 star).
The food at Brown, despite all kosher limitations (and given that they have to import everything) was very nice, at least for my European palate.
Really nothing - only minor points may be:
- the hotel is constructed in a way that you hear every sound from every other floor and with many big families residing there it can be very loud
- Shabbat meals should be better organized, with assigned tables. It is very crowded otherwise and a bit of a gamble to get a table. Staff was nice though and brought extra tables and chairs.
- Pool is very deep, you need to be a good swimmer to enjoy it (we are but others may not) and the baby pool was closed.
- It is a bit far from anything and there are no activities anywhere- for us it was perfect because we just needed to relax and also got around well with taxis but a lot of kids had nothing to do and were bored and tried to take the lobby apart. Again, for us (2 adults and a very well behaved 8 year old) it was perfect but not necessarily for the bigger families with small kids.

The location of the property is pretty good. The architecture of the hotel blends into the rocky terrain; as well as the landscaping of the property. The beach was decent and relaxing.
Realistically, this is not a four star hotel. Where to start? We did not even know what “kosher” means, but decided not to cancel our booking because we liked how the hotel looked and location of it. There is no room service; the beach bar (food ordering) works until 6pm, with some basic choices. The food choices were limited and not inclusive. The hotel forbids you to enter with the food from the outside, so we had to wait for our Wolt order outside of the hotel. We had a feeling like we entered some religious camp or something, very, very conservative atmosphere. Entertainment does not exist. The room is cleaned every three days lol
All in all it was ok, with feeling here and there uncomfortable. It’s a shame because the property has so much potential for everyone to enjoy. But for this price point, maybe look for some more experienced and inclusive establishment.
