Situated in Lake Norman, this charming house for $305 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. On a quiet, nearly private cove in Terrell, NC is Lake Escape's Cottage on the Cove, a completely renovated lakefront home on Lake Norman. Beautifully landscaped 3 Bedroom ranch, with open concept Kitchen, dining, living room. The front porch is a great place to laze away the days with a cool breeze coming off the lake. The finished garage is heated and cooled and is loaded with games and space to get out of the heat or rain or just spend an evening hanging with the family away from a TV. The Kitchen / Dining area features white quartz countertops, tiled backsplash, and stainless appliances. We have fully equipped it with quality pots, pans, flatware, dishes, serving ware, utensils, and small appliances. A large fan overhead circulates the air. The large island provides a hub and dining area for up to 8 people. Moving forward of the kitchen dining room is the living room with a grand lake view out the front window, a 65" Samsung Smart TV with Roku, and a sofa bed which opens into a queen size bed for a seventh or eighth guest. Bedrooms feature a lake vibe with shiplap feature walls, artwork, ceiling fans, lamps, Amazon echo alarm clocks, power points on the night tables. The bedroom closets have hangers and drawers, with a hotel style safe in the master closet. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with tub - shower. The hall bathroom serves the other two bedrooms and the general area with a stall shower. The outdoor living space is vast, with a large front porch - 4 rocking chairs, a dining table for 8, and a lovely porch swing. Down the front porch steps is space to hang, grill and enjoy the lake. For the firepit, we provide firewood, six solid Adirondack chairs circle it. Included for you use just steps away is four adult kayaks, one youth kayak, 2 stand up paddle boards, a generous selection of life vests for all sizes, and a bevy of tubes, noodles, ladder golf, Can Jam... with a large grass yard to play. There's two hammocks and tree swing to enjoy the shade. 8 extra Adirondacks stand by for extra guests. Are you a boater? Rent a boat during your stay from Lake Effects. Bring your own boat or PWC and launch at the McCreery Public launch ramp down the road. Keep it at our private dock. Swim from the dock or wade in via zero entry lake edge. We have thought of everything so you won't need to think about anything but completely enjoying your stay. Please be aware that the water level at the dock may not be high enough for boat access in the non-summer seasons. This property was lovely. It was exactly as listed. I thought that the owners made it a goal to provide anything you could think of, so that your vacation could just be focused on relaxation and enjoyment…very generous and thoughtful in many details! I’m so thankful we got to stay at this rental!

Our visit was to surprise our nephew (it worked!) and to have a relaxing weekend. WE loved our stay: the house looked just like the listing, the kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The game room is an added bonus. We will definitely be back!

We were looking for a little change of scenery and some time on the water, and found both at this property. Frequent visits by ducks and heron were also unexpected guests. The neighborhood was pretty quiet and honestly, we saw very few people during our stay. The house was immaculate, beds were pretty comfy and the kitchen and baths were exceptionally well equipped. While we did have some difficulty with accessing our own streaming services on the TV, since we weren't there for TV viewing, it was a minor annoyance. We would return to this property again - or any of the owners' other properties as well. They were great hosts.

My husband, our Fur Baby, and I spent four peaceful days at this lovely home. We felt very comfortable in this pretty home and beautiful neighborhood. I had brought along 2 pots for cooking and really did not have to because the kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed for cooking and baking. This was the first time we rented a vacation home and we were pleased with the cleanliness of the entire home and the picturesque surroundings. We were happy just to relax by the dock, sit on the chairswing by the lake, and read on their spacious front porch. I cooked all the meals at the house. The Publics Supermarket was very convenient... just 4 minutes away by car. Our dog was happy here too because there was enough property to walk her on and peaceful surroundings. We also enjoyed playing ping pong in the spacious game room off the kitchen.We certainly hope to return to this vacation home in the future.

Our family had such a great time in this home for the week! The house was so well stocked inside and out that we had everything we could have needed for our stay. The different size kayaks and life jackets allowed our whole family to kayak together and the location on the quiet cove was so great for the kids in the water. There were plenty of lawn games to keep everyone occupied all week. The game room in the garage was also a big hit and our kids spent the trip home trying to come up with a plan for where we could put one like it in our house. The hammocks, swings, lounge chairs, and comfortable couches in the living room gave us lots of places to relax and the beds were very comfortable. We can't wait to come back!

You just never know what you are renting until you get to the property, and it WAS FANTASTIC! Exactly as described on VRBO. The property was very clean, and all the extra outdoor/water toys were PERFECT and above and beyond what we expected! The yard is great when traveling with pets and all the little interior "extras" provided by the owners were greatly appreciated! My adult kids are kind of pickly and they were SO happy with my choice for them! They want to stay there again next year! Jessica was wonderful to deal with and every time I reached out to her she responded immediately! Thanks again, Jessica, for helping my family have such a great 4th of July gathering! We'll see you next year!

Not only was everything about the house perfect, but the unexpected nature experience was lovely. The lake - fish, turtles, otter across the way; the trees - two adult hawks raising their three babies ... absolutely precious! So many other birds and butterflies as well. We rented a boat one full day and pulled right into the spacious dock for a lunch break. Took the kayaks and boards out for a nice long adventure down the cove to the right, then left. Kids loved the game room, and very nice outdoors setup - including the fireput and smores! Thank you for having us!

I can't say enough great things about our experience. The house was beautiful; extremely clean and well-organized with new appliances, comfy beds, and a fantastic game room. The owners thought of everything we could possibly need and really paid attention to the details! In addition, the property manager could not have been more responsive and welcoming. We had a great experience! Everything was perfectly clean, super comfortable, and had absolutely everything we needed. We were so impressed with the number of outdoor water toys. My kids loved the house, playing in the yard, and going out on kayaks. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and made check-in and check-out super easy to understand. We took a family spring break trip and stayed at this lake. Norman house. What a wonderful place to stay that had plenty of activities that we could do with our family. We’d love the game room and the location right on the water as well as lots of things to do nearby. We had a blast.

We had such a good time on the lake! The house is clean and wonderfully decorated. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for the week. We cooked in and ate out at a couple restaurants recommended in the guest books. The game room was great and perfect for the family. We kayaked and paddle boarded! It was an awesome experience.

Perfect cottage- it’s at the end of a quiet street, we loved the fire pit overlooking the lake, the hammocks, the walkway down to the dock and the kayaks. We went kayaking one day and utilized the game room. Our boys loved playing ping pong, pac man, and the basketball game. The two bathrooms are nicely updated and it was extremely clean and cozy. We would rent again!

Serenity Now exceeded our expectations. The cottage was spotless at check in and our host thought of everything we might need during our stay. Our college age daughter LOVED the game room as well as our 5 year old nephew who stopped by for a visit.
Jessica, our hostess, was always quick to respond and accommodated us when we extended our stay. Plenty of nice quality linens were supplied, and it was great to already have coffee pods provided. We plan to book again this summer so we can use the new dock and water toys!

Check in was a breeze, the property was exceptionally clean, tidy, and any cleaning product or household items was available for use. Game room was well stocked with something for everyone, all age ranges were covered. Jessica and Adam had literally thought of everything! The property was gorgeous, best place on the lake to watch the morning sunrise 🌅! Outside there was something for everyone as well, Kyaks, floats, a tree swing, and my personal favorite was the porch swing. Fishing on the lake was plentiful, my son was able to catch a very nicely sized blue catfish.
The property is adequately named, our family found much serenity and peace at this location. The only regret I have is that our stay wasn't longer. We will most definitely be back to this location. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!

We enjoyed our stay at this lake house. Very clean and up to date. Enjoyed the game room since it was off season. Only negative was the lake level was too low to dock our boat at the house. No fault of the owners but it was not revealed to us before our stay. Would love to stay again during the warmer weather when we can spend more time on the lake.
