You’ll be close to all the action at Stella. Some of our favorite options available to you: –Joshua Tree National Park: 800,000 acres of mystical beauty - Joshua Tree National Park is one of the world’s most incredible natural desert treasures. Sweeping, grand in scale and populated by granite monoliths and voluptuous rock and boulder formations. This quiet land, conducive to meditation and roaming, was carved by extremes in climate - wind, rain and an ever-present, relentless sun. Diverse forms of plant life are found everywhere, but none as unique or prevalent as the park’s namesake: the Joshua tree, standing majestically across the vast topography. –Pioneertown: Step back in time to thus rustic Old West-style village. Wander through the historic buildings, visit unique shops, catch a live music performance at Pappy & Harriets, and experience the Wild West charm. • The Integratron: New age-y healing destination with a sound bath, originally designed by ufologist George Van Tassel with the goal of reversing the aging process. Everything at your fingertips and more, when you book with us today! Guest Access: You will have the entire house and property to yourself. The backyard is free for you to explore but please make sure you don’t hike into neighboring properties. The property has fences in place along with trespassing signs to help guide you. The Neighborhood: The 320-acre private community of Rock Reach is technically in the Town of Yucca Valley, but it feels like the middle of Joshua Tree National Park – without the crowds. Most of the landscape is an untouched wonderland of weathered boulders, pinon pines, desert oak and juniper trees. Rock Reach provides the perfect blend of pristine desert and easy access to amenities in town. The West Entrance of Joshua Tree National Park is a 20-minute drive away, and the shops, restaurants, and things to do in Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree Village. A few of favorite spots in Joshua Tree Village include Space Cowboy Books, the World Famous Crochet Museum, and the Joshua Tree Saloon. In addition to shopping and dining, you won’t want to miss these nearby highlights: • Pioneertown (15-minute drive) - Put on your ten-gallon hat and stroll down Mane Street of this Wild West-inspired town, also known for Pappy & Harriet’s, a notable restaurant and venue. • Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum (20-minute drive) - As far from a stuffy gallery as you can imagine, this outdoor sculpture garden contains a unique collection of folk-art. • The Integratron (20-minute drive) - New age-y healing destination with a sound bath, originally designed by ufologist George Van Tassel with the goal of reversing the aging process. • Palm Springs (40-minute drive) - Artsy town known for vintage shopping, art galleries, and the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. • Mt. San Jacinto State Park (90-minute drive) - Expansive, hilly landscape with foot and horseback trails surrounding 10,834-foot Mount San Jacinto.

We enjoyed our stay at Casa de Stella and would happily stay here again. It was a great location to explore the area. We visited from Seattle to explore Joshua Tree National Park and it was an easy drive to the park entrance, to the Noah Purifoy Desert Art Museum and to The Goat Hike (I highly recommend the Goat Hike, btw! Check in was easy, the beds were super comfy, the hot tub was clean and hot and felt great after a day of hiking. The outdoor area was super cool with the large rocks- a nice place to have a sun downer and roast marshmallows. A really beautiful spot.

We went up to go to Joshua tree to checkout the Perseid meteor shower and it was an awesome weekend. The house and the property actually is dark enough as well to do stargazing without even needing to go into the park. In hindsight next time we’ll stay at the house and avoid the park traffic.

Casa La Stella was everything we wanted and more for our anniversary get away! It is a rare experience to have all your expectations met and be even more blown away after our stay. The house was very comfortable, had all the amenities we were looking for including a nice bathtub, outdoor fireplace, terrific jacuzzi and even a great sound system for our own little dance party! The views and privacy spectacular, location was convenient, dog friendly and the property management was very responsive and even had the heat turned on before we arrived as requested. After looking at hundreds of properties, I'm so glad I picked this place and you will too!

Beautiful setting in the rocks with great jacuzzi and outdoor fireplace. The art in the house was great and added to the ambiance (Dia De La Muerte theemed!) It was a wonderful place to hang with our family in between excursions to the Park and area.
