The location was too good. Every food place was just a walk away on the beach. The diving centre was literally next to our cottage.The rooms are clean. Beach stay in an everything accessible location, go for it!
There's a sewage smell in the entire room! There might be a problem in the bathroom piping system, that made the entire room smell like a sewer tank. Also we booked two rooms and this issue is with only one room(it's on the extreme end).
The sheets could be better.

Lovely location right on the beach!! lovely and friendly staff, great food and bar. Made my smoothies and food vegan as requested.
The bathrooms. The water had a weird smell and so did the bathroom. Also no hangers in the bathroom to hang your towel etc. No warm water. If they fix their bathrooms I’d rate this place even higher. Otherwise, lovely and friendly staff, great food and bar. Made my smoothies and food vegan as requested.

Its beachfront and close to the Uppuveli Street market. The rooms are big and comfortable and they provide water and fresh towel every day. You can litterally watch the sunrise from your window.
Mixed feelings about the staff: the lead receptionist and one of the guys working there were exceptional; however, the people working at the bar were ignoring you if you were right there standing to order a drink.
Breakfast was OK, especially the last day when we were given Sri Lankan styke; however, we were disappointed by lunch, having to pay 15 euros each for some sort of salad and chips. If you walk to the end of the alley, there is a great place called Rice&curry where you can have outstanding food and seafood for a fraction of the price.
Last but not least, acoustics is a bit weird and we could hear loud music until 2AM coming from Fernando bearch market every day. At 6AM the people from the PADI center would start talking loud in front of our door. I couldn't sleep a wink during our stay.

Fabulous beach front location, extremely close to a town with beach bars and lovely restaurants. Air con unit is good.
The room is extremely noisy, you can hear outside noise, sea crashing in the night and music until early hours
The WiFi works outside of the room but is poor inside the room
The curtains are extremely thin so you will not get black out. There are lights directly outside the room which only get turned off around midnight / 1am
The room is next to a scuba school which starts early each morning. You will hear lots of talking
Onsite restaurant is expensive, I’d recommend going in to town
Room itself is basic but comfortable. Even though it’s a basic room I still think it’s overpriced given the above factors and general amenities.
