Arrival area clearly mark, with pleasant , helpful staff. Information given on where to locate lodge on the site.
Lodge was beautifully presented, clean and in a quiet part of the site. Hot tub was a great addition for relaxation. It was lovely to watched the squirrels, rabbits and birds by the small lake. It had everything you need in the kitchen and bedrooms.
Restaurant was a short walk and food enjoyable.
There was not much that we didn't like! Only had a problem with the leaves falling into the hot tub but a net was provided.

Beautiful, very clean lodge in a quiet location on the park. Very spacious with everything you could want. Lovely outlook onto trees. Hot tub was a lovely treat too.

After reading mixed reviews, I was really sceptical about this holiday park however upon arrival it was stunning. The reception staff are helpful, polite and really do try accommodate as much as they can.
The lodge itself is gorgeous inside. This particular lodge has everything we needed. the kitchen utensils are packed, with enough amenities to allow you to cook whatever you need.
they don’t provide any food items except tea/coffee/sugars etc but there is an aldi up the road so that suited us fine.
There was ample space for my husband and I and our four young children.
the back garden area is safe for them to play around all within eye sight.
and with two bathrooms, you’re really spoilt.
the hot tub, was set at a perfect temp, they do say bring extra towels and they’re right. you do need extra towels. the hot tub was clean, and such a wonderful extra!
honestly, with doubt about people being racist or it being dirty, we found the total opposite.
our neighbours were so lovely they offered to have us round but we weren’t staying long enough!
just to also point out, our deposit was returned within 2 days. so very happy with this also.

not having a tumble dryer makes it difficult to nip in and out of the hot tub on numerous occasions throughout your day.
and the sofa bed. it really isn’t comfortable at all and is only for one person… in our case a tall 12 year old!

The facilities were good and the location is lovely.
A generously proportioned place with good privacy for the outdoor deck.
The short walk to the Plough Inn is well worth it as the food and atmosphere was lovely after a rainy walk..
There could be a few more kitchen utensil items and the sofa bed had a very thin, old mattress and would benefit from being updated.
We are most disappointed that despite being very vigilant and obedient to the hot tub usage rules, we were billed £50 due to an apparent breach of these rules. There was no evidence given for what the breach was other than a photo of the water stating it needs to be fully drained. Having done some research, the only potential cause for a change in the colour of the water would be rain. It happened to be raining throughout our 2 hour use of the hot tub but there are no rules against use of it during inclement weather and there is no awning to provide shelter. To add insult to injury, the hot tub wasn't to temperature in time for our arrival or even 3 hours after check in time! We were patient and gave it the benefit of the doubt and waited until the following day to use it and then we got slapped with an unfounded additional cost! Needless to say, a very unwelcome end to what was a really terrific birthday weekend away.
