The hotel is tired and in need of some TLC. The staff were really good, friendly and helpful but the decor and general state of the rooms made it poor value for money

An old fashioned hotel with a fabulous brealfast in the old dining room. Lots of open fires.
Unforunately the hotel is built over several levels with lots of creaking stairs . You will need help with your lugguage and it was provided. Hotel can be a bit noisy with the pub across the road and nearby construction. Safety handrails would be useful for getting out of the shower/bath.

This is the kind of hotel that I like to stay in. Old, a bit battered with creaky stairs, narrow door ways and sash windows that open. Much better than Prem Inn's. The staff and service are 100% the breakfast was amazing and the location is ideal. Free car park and wifi. I will stay again.
