I was upgraded to the Capital Suite which was a great surprise and definitely added to the enjoyment of my stay. Staff is friendly, professional, and helpful.

Very nice hotel and our room was spotless and very comfortable. The staff is amazing and very friendly. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

We were unaware when booking, but the hotel is under renovation construction and while our room was newly renovated, there was active construction (noise) on our floor and throughout the entire building including the normal entrance. We were relegated to park in an attached parking garage in order to enter the building and then go up to the 2nd floor to a room temporarily converted to an office to check in. After arriving, we were told that there was no way to get hot water in the room for tea but we could get some from the 2nd floor as opposed to anyone bringing an electric kettle or the hot water up to us. This was puzzling to me as they state that there is “room service” from the attached restaurant, Chandlers. Also, our room was completely renovated, but the shower floor was cracked and worn and perhaps “recycled”. The shower head only extends approximately five inches further than the shower knob and falls directly down (like a rain shower head) so one’s body is forced to stand on the broken part of the shower and against the shower knob to actually be under the water stream even though the shower is practically six feet long (a walk in) very poor design. Also, the single use toiletries hadn’t been replaced from the last guest. Both the body lotion and the little box that included qtips were clearly used.On the positive side: the mattress and pillows were comfortable, linens were clean and plentiful, and the room had two comfortable robes. We will not be staying here again.

They were are under construction. Lobby not functional! Elevators covered in dust from construction. Front desk is operating out of a guest room.

Remodeling, no place to network (Business trip) I would have thought they would have had something available to sit outside of your room. I was working with members of the opposite sex; I really was not going to invite them up. Drilling and sawing until 11:30 at night. Room was fine, the entrance to the Hotel was closed off, no signs showing how to get in. The doors entering to the Hotel from the parking garage we very dirty, smudges, dirt, and Ice everywhere, then the elevators were disgusting. I guess since they are remodeling, they were paying no attention to cleanliness.

Loved this hotel and my go to place to stay but now under construction and it’s a mess. Woke up to Jack hammers and hammering directly above my room. No notice of possible construction noise around guest rooms just that some amenities and lobby not available. I would stay somewhere else until back to normal. Not sure why they would book guest directly under rooms above being renovated.

Hotel is being renovated.Had to check in on 2nd floor in a small room.Construction going on in entry & in rooms.Could hear people working early in morning.

Hotel was being renovated, so it was a little inconvenient, but the room was great and so was Chandler’s!

We could hear our neighbors whole conversation. This neighbor complained about noise in our room and then my wife was followed by security when leaving the room. Security stood outside of our door listening to our conversations that were private and at one point tried to enter the room after my wife left. I can understand our neighbor could hear us arguing and was “ concerned “ but there is no reason to stand outside of our door after giving us the complaint . I felt like I had zero privacy in a room I paid money for . I’m my opinion too much money . The room resembled that of a motel 6 . The best part was the giant window and the location is close to everything downtown.

The restaurant is fantastic. The hotel was under a very unsafe construction condition. Wires and metal and blocked off doors. The poor staff were in a room, trying to make guest feel better, but service and management were nowhere to be found. The fire alarm went off the first night and we were forced to evacuate. The website lies. I want a refund!

They are under construction so it’s just not the upscale experience they usually provide. Price is too high for the inconvenience.

I was not aware that there is a MAJOR construction operating in the hotel. Like drilling and noise that will wake you up. Like the entire lobby is closed and moved into a room. This kind of thing usually closes the hotel, but this owner seems to think it’s ok to charge full rate and not let people know you’re staying in a full on construction zone.

Yuk! Check3d in and checked right back out. Noisy the rooms are so dated. If you are a female traveling alone it is spooky going thru a garage trying to find elevator the front desk is in a hotel room no thanks

Lots of construction going on. Hard to sleep

So, book elsewhere while the construction is going on- no valet parking, no front lobby entrance/ exit to Chandler’s, no AM room service, no shower cap!

Everything was amazing from the room to checking in with the staff. The construction doesn’t affect your stay what do ever. We ate at Chandlers, the restaurant on site and it was the best meal we have had in years. Very expensive but worth it. Thanks hotel 43, would stay again.

Disappointing stay. We were made well aware of the renovations so none of that affected our stay.
The bed was crinkly (mattress protector?) and made too much noise so it was very uncomfortable to sleep on. The bathroom sink drained very slowly and made hand/face washing difficult and messy. The hallways were kept at an uncomfortablely warm temperature. The self park was ok until there was an ice hockey event which filled the parking spaces, even the Hotel 43 designated spots and there was no security or parking attendant to ensure hotel guests had spots available. We ended up parking up a floor and having to walk through the garage to get to the hotel door.
Lastly, on our last night staying, we tried to finish our night with a drink at Chandler's and listen to the band but there was no bar seating available. So we let the hostess know we just wanted a drink and enjoy music. She said she would see if a table was available but came back to let us know that no table was available unless we wanted to order food or appetizers. We were disappointed because this was only an hour prior to closing and it felt like our guest status at the hotel wasn't good enough to have a drink at Chandler's. We left disappointed and feeling unwelcome.

The location to down town was great. I didn't mind that they were under construction I just felt that the bed was the worst I have ever sleped in.

Liked the kind and helpful staff.
Disliked the filthy room with soiled furniture, uneven bed mattress, but more importantly resent the lack of follow up by General Manager, Dawn Vitto to contact us and discuss our concerns and "right" the hotel's wrong. Avoid Hotel43...there are many other fabulous options in the downtown Boise area. The overpriced 316.00 per night room was a complete disappointment for our 4 night stay!

Was unaware they were in construction before booking.

The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. Best room service ever provided by Chandler’s. Super friendly and helpful staff. There were lots of renovations happening but they had a zero negative effect on our stay thanks to how well managed they were.

It’s going under construction and we knew that when we booked. Great location for the price!

Even under construction. The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful.

A 4-star rating on Expedia for this hotel is misleading. It deserves no more than a 1-star rating. The rooms are outdated, with ill-fitting bed sheets, uneven beds that left my feet higher than my head, and an ancient TV lacking a sleep timer. My night was incredibly uncomfortable.

I came into the hotel harried and discombubalated after being in the Idaho back country and the staff took my craziness in stride and made me feel welcomed! Hotel is in a great area and Chandlers is amazing for dinner!
