It is a good hotel to be close to schiphol.
What you need to know is that for transportation you will pay to go from hotel to schiphol.

Hotel was clean, staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The only issue I had was the aircon was quite noisy and didn’t seem to cool our room down a lot. That being said we didn’t spend a lot of time in the hotel during our stay.

Very nice rooms and modern reception area. The breakfast atrium location and offering was off the chart awesome. Bar was good, a little over priced but very dark compared to the other amenities. The self serve convenience mart area was nice with good selections. The entry into the hotel is where the smokers sit and while a nice seating area, beware of all the smokers leading in to the hotel and as much as they try to keep up with all the cigarette butts and provide large containers, guests still toss them on the ground (sigh). Would stay here again.

Our stay at NH Amsterdam was excellent. The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept on in quite a while. Aniek (sp) at the front desk was very helpful. We were able to check in early after a long over night flight. She also helped us on how to navigate the train station at Schiphol Airport. Her service was superior. I would recommend this hotel.
