Very well located in New Town area. Very nice breakfast. But for an Intercontinental needs upgrades to the building and rooms. Dated look all around.

From the greeting at the entrance to the staff at reception everyone was friendly and proved a pleasant experience of being greeted with a smile. The hotel room was clean and well appointed with a lovely view.
The hotel is located in a perfect location for seeing the city. Restaurants and shopping are on the door steps. I walked to the Royal Botanics and the old town.
I will stay at the Intercontinental again in my next visit to Edinburgh.

It was a super location. Staff amazing. Rooms small. Bathrooms beyond small. If it was not for the staff I would not consider again.
