It was great and the location is great

Funny smell every time I entered the room. I had to ask for more towels as soon as I entered the room. A bit more shelf space/ vanity in the bathroom would be nice.
The security door guard was loose and looked like someone had to push it open. The make-up mirror in the bathroom was loose but I was able to tighten it. The paint in the bathroom was chipped. The TV needs to have a guide to select channels. Bellhop and housekeeping were fantastic and responsive. Kept hearing the front desk system was down.

We enjoyed our stay. Room was small but considering when the hotel was built it makes sense. It was clean and well cared for. I’m not used to being in a hotel that the lobby is not on the main floor so coming and going was odd to not see a front desk area. But still felt safe and secure as there was always someone at valet or a concierge in the entrance. Parking is very expensive. $65 per night. I have no idea where my vehicle was parked but I got it back in the same condition I handed it over in. Our room was labeled as sleeps two and was booked for two yet we only had one bath towel, one hand towel and one wash cloth. No floor towel for getting out of shower. Had to call for more. I find this in convenient. Where our room was located the hallway was very quiet. But the hotel is located near a hospital and there are sirens blaring at all hours. We got used to it. It didn’t bother us. Loved that Starbucks was right across the street! We would stay again.

Well on my first night I fell in the shower because it was so slippery. I needed to stay an extra day for business. Asked for housekeeping to come in my room, no one did, when I called down that night I asked for toilet tissue and towels the guy Gerald at the front desk was very rude, said we couldn’t get it because it was no housekeeping staff, like are you serious we can’t get towels and tissue, so I went down to see this Gerald and he had got towels and tissue and was very rude, said he have other guest , I’m a guest to spending my money and was told I couldn’t towels or tissue was terrible

I didn't take any pictures of the room sorry but it's the petite suite! Can't beat the price I paid to stay on Michigan Ave! Comfortable, clean just slow elevator's!

A beautiful historic hotel. The rooms are small but clean and nice. The location is perfect for a trip to downtown Chicago.

I've stayed at this location before, I like the location. Upon check in, Gordon was pleasant, helpful and made me feel very welcome. Efficient and kind, thank you again to him.

We arrived earlier than expected.
Our room wasn’t ready. No big deal.
I asked if any room was ready- and we were offered a suite. The extra $40 w/tax was so worth it.

Historic hotel, extremely convenient regarding location in downtown chicago, rooms are outdated but very clean and hotel staff did an excellent job refreshing the room each day with towels, bedding, and coffee.

I've stayed here for years. It's a boutique hotel with easy access to the Mile. The beds are comfortable. The hotel is charming. The staff is absolutely lovely. The hotel has been renovated and it's quite nice. Great price, great room, clean and comfortable. Recommended!

Room had a small window with no view and smelled like toilet. I thought it would go away but it did not. Bed side light did not work. Hotel location is always good.

The Warwick Allerton is a great place to stay in downtown Chicago. The room was not very big, but it was just what I needed. It was clean and new. The bathroom was beautiful and I like the way the room was decorated. There was a fridge and a coffee maker, which met my needs perfectly. The location was perfect for me and at a great price. I would definitely stay there again.

Great location, friendly staff at desk, lounge and vallet. Only issue is they dont have a parking ramp/lot but there is one next door you can use, or vallet it.

Found a coupon online and booked through hotel.com… was still charged full price and addition fees that I was told on the phone were included in the price I’d pay for the hotel. The hotel was nice and in a good location but very frustrated with the dishonesty about the price.

Only one night. Very quiet hotel, good service and pleasant front desk.
Will stay here again.

I’ve loved the Allerton for years but it really is in need of some TLC. The lobbies and hallways are beautiful and the location can’t be beat. The beds are comfortable and the room was clean and quiet, but the window was sealed with duct tape and there was a draft, and overall, the walls, carpet, and decor in the room were quite worn and looking a bit shabby. Nothing that disturbed my stay in any way, but I just hope that it gets some much-deserved love in the near future.

We're big fans of old Chicago hotels and the Warwick Allerton didn't disappoint. The room was small but cozy. It was clean and the bed was comfy. We loved the pillows! There was something funky on the back of the hairdryer that needed cleaning. We informed the front desk and they said they would get to it. Everybody there was professional and helpful. The room rate was very reasonable and the location was excellent. We even had a view of Michigan Avenue and can't wait to go back.

Everything was OK except for the comfortability of the bed. It was really hard on my hips and back. You guys need to change mattresses.

Great location about 6 blocks from the blue line and right on Michigan Ave for all the fancy schmamcy shopping. Walking distance to the Navy Pier, the Bean and the buckingham fountain (unfortunately, they were both under construction.) Clean hotel courteous staff couldn’t ask for more.

The perfect stay! Luxury hotel. Clean, attractive, small but well appointed rooms. The beds and bedding were super comfortable! Nice bathrooms, thick luxurious towels. Friendly, courteous staff. The location could not have been better!!

Simple old hotel with small rooms that is well renovated. Terrible mattress, no restaurant or coffee in the lobby. About $90 total. Parking right next door.

excellent location, very comfortale setting, room is reasonable although it is small, but price is very affordable, best value for room conditions versus the cost. Will stay again when visit Chicago again.

The first room I checked into had a bad smell, but I called down and was promptly moved to a very lovely room. Price was unbeatable. I would return.

After check in went into room, there was stains on the several spots on walls and something spilt on radiator cover. Beds and bedding was unbelievable comfortable. Now upon departure, went to front desk @ 4am and the man at the desk was very rude on giving me a check out receipt, due to computer issues. His attitude appeared as if he was looking for an argument. After arriving back home, I called the hotel about 9:30am an began to tell the woman what I wanted, and before I could tell her in detail, she was RUDE and interrupted me and asked me the same question as she did in the beginning. These people that operate this hotel are some of the most rudest people I’ve ever encountered at any hotel. I travel 6 months a year too. I will never nor would I recommend this hotel due to their rudeness towards guest.

There were paints chipped in front of the door. But Andre the guy who made my check in a breeze so he blotted that ou, took that out of the overall stay'" s negativity.
Lisa was also equally awesome as Andre

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room and common areas were clean. However, the hotel was old and needed work. Paint falling off in the hallway. Older furniture in the room. Rather dark. No view. Coffee/water should be served in the lobby area, especially when it's so cold outside.

Over all it was a nice stay. However the first room they checked me into hadn’t been cleaned, and the bed looked smaller in the room I ended up staying in.

In general it was good, quite normal. I didn't like the attention that the staff who checked me in gave me, but everything else was fine.

Loved the historic vibe of this hotel. Beds were comfortable, staff was friendly and professional. We walked to Gino’s East for dinner and it’s very close to shopping. It didn’t really feel like there was an option for parking besides the valet which was an extra 65$ not counting tips. It was a bit stressful unloading family and luggage on the street in front of the hotel. I would stay here again though because it was clean, comfortable, and great location.
