On the positive side, this hotel was right in the heart of the downtown shopping district, walkable to everywhere. The place was friendly and clean. The bed linens were crisp and tight. On the not-so-positive side, the room was very small with no place to put a suitcase. The heater/AC made so much noise I turned it off. The refrigerator also made noise so I unplugged it. The room was not much bigger than a college dorm room, which would have been fine but I paid over $700 for a 2 night stay during the off season when half the stores were closed for the season. I feel the price was about $200 too high for the 2 night stay.

Staff and hotel were very good however this is my second time staying here and again, the TV had two remotes (difficult to navigate) and the connection constantly was lost and regained making it tough to watch any news or show.

Great stay at the Vineyard Square Hotel! Very cute and comfortable room. Great location to shops and downton Edgartown.

Great overall! Wonderful breakfast, clean, comfortable, nice staff, great location. Loved the amenities (beach chairs/towels/bikes/veranda). Didn't love the plastic bottled waters (wish they used a more sustainable option)

The plumbing desperately needs an update. The toilet was constantly draining, and basically non-functional. The staff is not available at night, so we had to use the common restroom downstairs.

We stayed here for our honeymoon after COVID ruined our original tropical plans. We enjoyed MV So much and Vineyard Square was an amazing place to lay our heads at night. We took advantage of the free bikes to bike to some beaches, we played the board games offered in the lobby, and did a lot of relaxing in our cozy bed.
The area is perfect, right in the heart of Edgar town. A lot was closed for the season but we still found things to do to take up our week long time on Martha’s Vineyard. We will be back!

Cute place with a fantastic shower. Great location for shopping and restaurants. The negatives were, the room was tiny. Breakfast had a nice spread, but was cold. Room smelled of mildew. There is a nice veranda on the 4th floor that had specific hours, but wasn't open anytime we tried to go see it during the open hours. I would stay here again, everyone was very friendly, I would just call to book and perhaps ask questions.

Porch was awesome to sit and relax,or take a bike out for the day.

The location in Edgartown can’t be beat and we enjoyed the harbor, shops and restaurants all just steps away. The hotel loans beach chairs, umbrellas and towels which made things easy and we loved the 4th floor balcony (open to all guests) for an evening cocktail. Areas for improvement are the beds (not so comfortable in the cozy room) and the AC light that is very bright at night has got to go! Our first night the brightness made it very hard to sleep. We covered it with tape and cut up bags the next two nights!). The cozy room as someone else mentioned is very small. If you are doing them bring just an overnight case. As we stayed 3 nights I would size up in future.
Also breakfast and helpful staff were both big positives.

We visited Martha's Vineyard for two days, and chose to splurge on the hotel and the room. Very glad we did; it was a spacious suite with a kitchen and a balcony that overlooked the harbor. Clean & comfortable.
The hotel was located within walking distance of most Edgartown sights and restaurants ... but it is about a 20+ minute taxi/Uber ride to both Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven (where the ferries arrive/depart). If you've never been to Martha's Vineyard, know that the island is quite large with 6 towns, each of them large enough to support their own school systems, and each of them quite different in their appeal.

Great property in the heart of Edgartown. Could walk to everywhere, plus the hotel had parking available (two blocks away).
Be sure to try the freshly baked muffins!

What a find, this hotel is in the heart of the action in Edgartown. Room was spacious, staff was attentive and the continental breakfast was delicious and filling. Free loaner bikes to ride to around town. Beach towels, chairs and an umbrella to sit on the beach. Best hotel pic I ever made. Then under sold and over delivered. I was more than pleased with my selection, booked for next year.

The staff is great. Stayed in two different rooms, which were spacious. Had a nice balcony view. The beds are comfortable. They provide bikes for guests which are great to explore the town with. The breakfast in the morning is worth going for as well.
