Check out time is 10 AM. We needed the room in order to prepare for a competition and they would not budge even by one minute … basically “get the heck out at 10 AM”. I should add that it was a Sunday. Not very accommodating in my opinion. I didn’t see any housekeeping staff working at 10 AM on a Sunday. It seems like the 10 AM policy is just for their own convenience.

Overall, the property was very nice, with lots of activities, though mostly aimed at kids. The condo was very nice and spacious, perfect for an extended stay. Though we had to call several times to get all of the supplies that we needed as they were not stocked or stocked with a very small amount. The main restaurant being closed was a huge bummer as that meant if you wanted to eat onsite it was at a poolside restaurant/bar. However, the location was very convenient to most areas of Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage,

Large room, kitchen, and outdoor seating all perfect for our short two night stay. The views of palm trees, with snow capped mountains surrounding the property is spectacular.

The complex did not seem to be very busy the 2 nights I was there. I love staying at Marriott Properties. It would seem that they could accommodate room locations that are in a quiet location. The room I had was at the end of the complex which was nice however it was on the main Road which was very busy. Next time I will make sure to inquire prior to my arrival.

We loved our stay here!! One reason we chose this place was because it had kitchen. Hubby is on a special diet and we did almost all our own cooking. We found there was no stovetop, though, which was very limiting. We needed to purchase extra supplies and utensils to make it work for us, then had to leave them behind because we were traveling by air. Although this was expense we hadn’t counted on, we were able to make it work.

No restaurant (for the last few years) gated so you couldn’t get food delivered to your room, very spread out, also got harassed about time share related content. I was not aware that I booked a time share and will not be returning here

Beautiful property and the pool and surrounding area is great. Room is spacious but the sofa bed is really uncomfortable. Great view off the patio.

Our family was blown away by this property. The pools were phenomenal, the staff were friendly and helpful and our two bedroom villa was an amazing space for our family to stay for one week. We loved Marriot Shadow Ridge and thank everyone who works there for making it such an enjoyable stay.

A lovely resort in general. Several pools, activities center, basketball courts, tennis courts not to mention a golf course & beautiful grounds. The staff are very friendly & accommodating as well. We enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay. Room has full kitchen and dishwasher, washer and dryer. Only needs to have cookware replaced or upgraded.

The property and rooms were really nice. The only problem was check ins are at 4pm, which means the sun is already coming down this time of year. I only stayed one day so as you can imagine I did not have time to spend at the property at all since check outs are at 10am.

I went with my wife and kids and we had a great time overall, but our last day changed everything. we were in the adult pool and a woman started offering sexual encounters with some men in the pool, she even went so far and started sexual touching a man’s inside the pool area with my kids around. We left immediately when we saw this. This was around 2 pm. It definitely ruined our impression of the place because my kids noticed, very uncomfortable situation

The suites are great, the amenities like the pools were excellent, the reason I gave a 4 overall is the thin walls between units. We easily heard our neighbours all through the day. It was disappointing.

The property was close to everything we wanted to see. The only issue was they did not mention that the golf course was closed for 3 weeks do to reseeding. That was the main reason we stayed there was to golf.

A very family friendly place. Tailored if you have kids. There are multiple activities for kids to enjoy and keep busy. Went with relatives. Check in was a breeze. Not the best if you are a couple with no kids.

This used to be our favorite Palm Desert resort however over the past few years, it has gone downhill. The customer service is not as good as it used to be. The property is overrun with bugs, we were there for a week and could not go on our deck as there were bees everywhere. The first time we walked out, we were swarmed with them, so we had to avoid the patio the entire trip, which was a huge bummer because that is generally our favorite place to hang out. The front desk didn’t seem to care whatsoever and maintenance said a third party company handles landscaping so it wouldn’t be resolved during our stay. Also in general things in our room were old and broken, like the ice machine, door lock, etc. The pool area has also changed a lot, as they allow people to throw hard balls around in the pool and hit others, this happened to our group multiple times.

Check in was okay. Wasn't impressed and they put us all the way at the end of the hotel. The service at the bar was awful, looked like the bartender didn't want to be there. The pool manager was a bit mean but everyone else was descent.
