We booked our room for one night on our way to our Joshua tree house for our celebration. It was such a huge disappointment. The room is nothing like described on hotels.com. It’s definitely not a full kitchen, definitely no balcony, the rooms are tiny. We didn’t want to let that destroy our experience so we successfully or so we thought ordered in room dinning to stay in and enjoy the night. We got a call 30mins in that in room dinning doesn’t exist at this location. This is the only hotel I’ve ever been at that doesn’t offer that option. Mind you it was 6pm no 2am. Hotels.com was no help in resolving any of these issues.

I highly recommend this location if you are traveling with a big group or family. It’s perfect for kids and there’s nothing they don’t have.

The condo was great, had an adjoining room for our adult children giving us each our own space. Kitchen was well equipped. Only drawback for us was the restaurants were closed and the 2 bar and grills by the pool closed at 5pm. We will definitely be back.

Let me clarify. The description on Expedia does not match the room that we got. We were supposed to have a balcony but when we fly the confirmation from Marriott, it said no balcony. I called both Expedia and Marriott and both said they couldn't change anything. As I suspected, there room was very small and no balcony. This is the second time that happens where the description listed in Expedia is not accurate. Call the property before booking.

While this is a very nice property, unfortunately the walls between the units seem to be paper thin. You can easily hear normal conversations from the unit next door.

Nice resort and nice pools. Only negatives were the floors needed cleaning and water pressure and temperature in shower were not good. Otherwise, the unit was nice and service was good.

Great big room however it was impossible to enjoy ourselves with the small children upstairs running back and forth and horsing around at all hours. I imagine being in the desert the walls have no insulation-they are paper thin. Our stay was a waste of a lot of money and not relaxing at all. Request a top floor or don’t bother

The room was GREAT! Check-in went really easy and smooth. The front desk on checkout day was NOT accommidating at all. We requested a little extra time 11 am checkout and we were told "sorry but an incoming guest has requested your unit." REALLY, a unit facing the back side filled wirh dead weeds and dirt!! I don't think so. The property was not at capacity at all. We have stayed at SR numerous times and this time the properry was at very low capacity. If you are short on housekeepers then just say that. Don't lie to your guest and then send housekeeping to their room right at 10 to backup the lie!!! UNACCEPTABLE Lastly, the pool situation is out of control. People with toddlers getting in the pool with just regular diapers on is disgusting. Who wants to swim in that water??? People with toddlers need to be reminded that they need to remain at those pools that service toddlers and their famlies. This is defintley something that needs to be addressed at the corporate level.

Nice place, overall good time. Washer, Dryer a plus although dryer took a lil long to dry clothes. Oven did not close properly. Upstairs neighbors were loud, running throughout evening/nite. Slide was a little slow, not fast enough, but I guess it's for safety.

Our unit was located right next to the pool. Partial golf course view and pool view. It was excellent condition and exceptionally clean. We came wrong season - too hot for any day activities. But we will definitely coming back when weather cools down.

they do pool cleaning middle of the day (11 am-2 pm) CANNOT USE POOL this time! also management block the gate for no reason so that we have to walk around other side of gate to enter the pool. some staffs start to work around 7 am and kept woke me up

We have been coming to this location every year for the past 15 years and the past couple of years have been very disappointing. Lots of things have changed god the worse.. Too many time limits everywhere on when we can use the pool, the gym etc.. they are trying yo save money wherever they can. The prizes for Bingo have become a real joke! They're worth maybe 50 cents. This year we were given the absolute worst location with our patio literally sitting on the road with constant traffic going by. Our reservation was made over 3 months in advance and got $1200 there was no reason to give us such a bad room. Sadly it may be time to switch to a different family tradition and ho somewhere else :(((

Long story short. First visit was in Nov 2020, mid pandi, and it was decent since everything was shut down. Decided to give it a second try and it did not disappoint. If you get the condo with the kitchen there is no need to venture outside of the property. All we had to do was bring the food and cookware and dishes were provided in the room. The kids loved being at the pool ALL DAY. It’s great they have activities throughout the day for the kids down at the pool and even served sundaes along with movies down by the pool. Wish our trip was longer but the family and I decided this spot will be part of our annual staycation.

Loved all the pools and the food and drink options at the pools. The activity center was so much fun, and we enjoyed seeing the turtles in the pond. The rooms were fantastic and clean! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

It’s a good place for family, I selected one bedroom for three nights. I wish a new these please better I could get one for longer time, at least five days or better a week, or even longer if times allows. One bedroom has a big refrigerator, stove, central AC, washer and dryer. And Walmart supercenter six minutes away. You can get anything you need for your stay.

The suite that we stayed in was extremely well appointed and we could happily have stayed there for a week. The rooms were immaculately clean and all the furnishings were modern and in great order.

I enjoyed my stay. There were a lot of people, so it was a little hard to get in touch with the front desk to get extra towels. Overall I was happy with my stay, and would definitely go back.

Overall very nice place to stay. The only complaint I have is in my room I found a couple critters. I took a couple pictures and let the front desk know when I was checking out. Mind you I found them on the bed as we were packing up to leave. Front desk just brushed it off. That really bothered me because I’m not sure what the critters were exactly. Now I wasn’t trying to get a free stay. But show some concern a bit. Don’t just brush me off as you can careless if it concerned my stay. We paid a good price for the room. Oh one more thing the shower or tube was little. We went for a couples trip so a small shower wasn’t what we expected.

It’s always a great time when we are together at the shadow ridge! This time we came with another family and we all enjoyed the amenities and perks! It was the hottest it has ever been since coming here back in 2015 but the team at shadow ridge made sure we had what we needed to stay cool.
