The team from front desk to maintenance is awesome. Very friendly. Helpful with pre-arrival packages which really made my business trip smooth. I come to Hawaii 4x per year for business. I will be changing from my normal hotel to here.

The Ambassador was the best of all worlds: a historic hotel that has recently been renovated, staffed by some of the most kind and friendly people on the island; and close to everything. Clean, comfortable, and with a great bistro.

Our stay here was perfect all the staff were so friendly and attentive especially Austin who served us our tasty breakfasts during our stay .the location of the hotel was ideal as it was quiet but yet only a short walk to the hustle and bustle of Waikiki beach

We were first given a room on the 3rd floor, it was a very tired room including the balcony, in need of an update. We asked if there were any other rooms available and were lucky enough to be given a much better room on the 12th floor, not so old as the first, it cost an extra $25 usd. Told them it was a special anniversary trip and we a free smile. The cleaning staff were excellent.

The hotel is cute and I can tell they are trying to make it 'hip' however I felt its over priced. The amenities are basic. No hot tub,sit down restaurant or bar. The only bar or food is pool side. The drinks are expensive. Pool small but cute. Service- seems like the employees are still trying to figure things out. One day the pool was closed. My shower was luke warm for 2 days and they didnt offer any sort discount. Overall i wouldnt stay here again unless it was better priced.

I enjoyed my stay at Romer. The rooms we're newly renovated so everything in the guestroom was new, clean and functional. That said, the insulation was terrible. I was able to hear all the service team working in the morning and doors opening and shutting. I could also hear the neighboring room, which is awkward. I tried to keep my TV volume down as to not bother. It's about a 12 min walk to the main stuff in downtown Waikiki, so be aware of that. Would I stay there again. Yes.

The Romer was very nice for the price.
We had a few minor problems and the staff fixed them immediately. Everyone was very friendly.
The room was clean and in a great location.
Only complaint was there was only one sheet on the bed and a comforter. We would have liked to have a second sheet below the comforter.

This hotel is amazing! Recently renovated, the condition of the rooms and lobby were fantastic. I appreciated all of the extra offerings (nightly reception, breakfast, local discounts). This hotel is conveniently located in walking distance to Waikiki restaurants and shops without being right in the middle of the crowded madness. Staff was super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I will definitely stay here again when I am back in town!

I liked the room size, and when we requested stuff the staff was prompt and polite .
Didn’t like the fact that we had to keep asking for things . The lady who cleaned the room did an ok job cleaning . She didn’t clean the bathroom well or refill the shampoo and conditioner or add toilet paper . The table station that had the water kettle lacked an electric outlet. A microwave wld’ve been convenient. The hotel being near a busy street was a bit noisy . Especially when the balcony door was open.

I’m only giving two stars because the valet guys and the guy that works at the coffee cart were super friendly and nice. The rooms were also pretty new and very clean. What ruined our trip was that twice a maintenance guy tried opening our door with his key to fix something but both times he had the wrong room. The first time me and my husband were naked and we said hold on but he must’ve not heard us and he opened the door. I had just enough time to put something over me and my husband grabbed his towel. Then the next day same thing! I was changing and my husband in the shower and he did not hear me say wait which I yelled this time and he opened the door! I was so upset! Luckily this time I had the lock latch over the door so it didn’t open all the way but I still saw his face and I screamed. The door made a loud slamming noise because he opened it hard and it the latch caught it. What is wrong with these people!!! Besides this, when we checked in and got to our room there was only maybe 1/3 of toilet paper left on the roll in bathroom and no spare. We didn’t realize this until husband did #2 and we had to wait for housekeeping to come to bring us toilet paper. We asked for 3 rolls to cover our trip but they brought us one. Every sound throughout the night I was scared someone would open our door. Despite how clean it was in the room, I will never stay here again. We called front desk to report it and they said they were sorry and would look into it but never got back to us

Checkin was very easy. Our flights were delayed which caused us to arrive about 12 hours late. The night managed got us checked in quickly and allowed us to check out later so we could get about 5 hours of sleep.

This is NOT a resort but they charge $50 resort fee. It is bate and switch tactic. A bit lower price but they add resort fee that is very high at the check in

Good location, bed and bathroom and excellent valet service for car (although quite expensive). Nice, eclectic, warm lobby and outside areas and interesting books to borrow. Downgraded overall due to lack of interest or responsiveness to our complaints re lack of vacuuming in hallways. Some housekeeping shortages of coffee and towels and missing breakfast menu items, like avocado for avocado toast.

Property was very lovely. Halls were a little less desirable for such a pretty place. Front desk help and concierge wer amazing. We booked for 2 adults and 1 child in a kingvroom, so I wish they would've asked us to or caught that. Our 11 year old had to sleep on the floor. There wasn't any toilet paper in the bathroom, or towels and there was a hair on the toilet. We just asked for what we needed and wiped the toilet down. They brought us what we needed and gave me complimentary advil for my pounding headache after traveling for 20 hours. Also there vare NO shuttle services. This property is 8 miles from the airport but with traffic is a 20 minute ride. Our taxi for one day to the hotel was $70. And the airline put our luggage on the later flight than us so my husband had to pay an uber to go back to the airport and then back to the hotel which was another $80 total. We only stayed one night because we just had to fly to Honolulu before going into our final destination in Hawaii. So for our 20 hr stay in Honolulu we spent $600. I think it would be a great service to have an airport shuttle! Overall the property was fine. Its loud outside and our only "complaint" was our AC didn't work on the day we were checking out. We probably wouldn't stay here again since other chain hotels are probably comparable and cheaper.

Everything went great! They were friendly and responsive. Room was small but clean and comfortable. The areas to chill were cool. Pool area was nice. Exercise room could use more equipment. No way to do any pull down exercises.

We had a great stay at Romer. It's good value for money. The hotel is in great condition, recently renovated. Room was spacious, bed comfortable, good AC, big bathroom and nice views from the balcony. The pool area is nice and staff extremely friendly. The location might not be the best, but in the end of the day everything is within walking distance on Waikiki so we didn't mind the walk to the beach and restaurants. Can definitelt recommend and looking forward to coming back!

Me and my partner stayed at the Romer Ambassador for 10 nights and we very much enjoyed the property. The rooms were extremely modern and comfy. Also the most clean hotel room i’ve ever stayed in. As for the staff, they were lovely and helpful. There’s a great atmosphere in the lobby as there’s always soemthing going on, form live music, to little shopping stalls, to free alcohol and coffee. Overall it was in a convenient location too. Will definitely be staying here again when renting to Waikiki.

The hotel is the perfect location with all the things you'd need during your stay. It's close to both the waikiki beach and strip and not far from Ala Moana. It includes a pool, a little lounge area downstairs with coffee in the morning and drinks at night. The staff is super friendly, will greet you each time you arrive or leave. Confused about where to go or what to do? The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Even as we were checking out, they offered advice on places to go and things to do before our flight in the evening. The hotel has obviously been recently renovated and its been done beautifully, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was clean and modern. The views from the hotel are also gorgeous!

Overall it was a really good stay. I only wished i had known about the incidental charges earlier on so that i could've budgeted for them even though they are refunded at the end if not used. The staff was very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend this facility to stay at.

Newly open, super nice staff and nice redo of a property overall. Open air lobby is a mix of mcm & coastal vibe with lots of space to hang out if you choose- think Ace PS meets Capri Ojai . Lobby service by outside biz was a disappointment though- lost the special touch the actual staff had. Make a serve your self coffee bar with aloha spirit donation until the restaurant is ready vs someone doing crossword puzzles looking like it’s a hassle to pump a coffee that you’re charging a guest $5 for. Plastic wrapped pastries when Dean & Deluca and the amazing Goofy’s are a block away. Have your Romer staff host the evening lobby pour and search out Hawaiian breweries like Ola to create a special vibe found only within your lobby. Looking forward to coming back when the restaurant is open and they find their groove and expand on the neighborhood vibe …
