Everyone was friendly and the hotel was newly renovated, it was a pleasant stay. We enjoyed having a great restaurant next door as well! I would definitely stay here again!

This was a really nice hotel. Comfy beds, friendly staff, perfect location for our needs. We WILL be staying here again

Terrible stay. We paid extra (approximately $40.00 per night) for a river view room. The hotel notified us a few days before the trip that there is construction going on and our view will be blocked and noisy. Not enough time to re-book. We took the room and it was far worse that we had anticipated. The hotel moved us to the other side. It was still noisy from hotel construction. We complained to the front desk and were informed that it was Hotels.com's job to inform us of problems, not the hotel.
I have been using Hotels.com for 25 plus years and know that they do not send these type of messages to
the customers. All I got from reception was the "Blame Game."
At checkout, I inquired about a price adjustment and was informed that it was not reception's job and I will have to talk to the manager. I didn't even get an itemized statement. The receptionist took my phone number and said she would give it to the manager, and I would receive a phone call.
Of course, I never received a call or any kind of response from the manager or any representative.
Also, we had to ask twice (two days) if we could have some towels. Housekeeping picked them up at cleaning, but never replace them.
Still waiting for any communications from the hotel.
Terrible hotel. Terrible service.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel and it exceeded all my expectations. The customer service was impeccable, with every staff member going above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. The accommodations were luxurious and well-maintained, providing the perfect blend of comfort and style. What truly stood out, however, was the warmth and friendliness of the staff. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and valued, making my experience truly unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking an exceptional stay with top-notch service and hospitality.

The tub was dirty. The main light in the living room would not turn off so I had to sleep with it on all night. and the fireplace knob was broken. Paid $34 to have breakfast delivered to the room for them to forget the english muffin.

Staff was magnificent. Scott’s seafood wonderful food. I highly recommend the spa LaLe just over the top. Thank you for making our short stay amazing. We Will definitely return.

When visiting family in the Sacramento area, the Westin is always our top choice. I must say, the renovation AND city construction obstructing views and taking up space was not ideal, BUT the hotel did a great job accommodating their guests. I didn’t really hear too much construction from my room. I wasn’t placed in a renovated room either so I am looking forward to seeing the changes next time I visit. My six year old son and myself enjoyed the hot tub and dinner at Scott’s ….Both a hop and skip away from our room. By the way, it should also be noted that the restaurant is amazing at accommodating severe food allergies. I know how difficult it is to find dining experiences that actually understand food allergies and felt completely comfortable eating there. All in all, great spot! I gave it 4 out of 5 stars simply because it is has nothing else to offer right now with views obstructed and all the perks of making it 5/5 like it typically is.

The hotel is located right off the freeway and near the places we needed to visit so that was nice. We did find the "valet only" requirement and the hotel construction to be inconvenient for us. Also the restaurant kitchen closed at 9pm on a Friday which seemed a bit early compared to other places we've stayed but it worked out.

The room was great, the shower on the other hand was a different story! With the type of shower head, the shower isn’t big enough, which wasn’t the worst of it. Water came out from the shower door and soaked the bathroom floor. Also, I wish we would have known about the construction, we were really looking forward to the view of the marina, along with the remodeling of the hotel. It made our stay less enjoyable.

This was a brief 2 day stay, to visit family over Thanksgiving. The staff are both kind and professional. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The highlight for us was the proximity to Scott's Seafood restaurant (on site), which offers a fantastic menu of superbly prepared food. We had one dinner and one breakfast there, both excellent. We highly recommend a stay at the Westin Sacramento, and will return in the future!

This place was nice but not amazing as with other Westin’s. Room was too dark, not enough lighting, shower was too small, fitness room was not even worth going into to get a workout. Valet was probably the worse I have seen. Very unorganized, no one visibly there to oversee the main drive or to greet you when you return. I had to physically flag a valet down to ensure they take the car. Unfortunately valet is the only option, which is a shame.

We went here to stay and pakd extra for a view of the river. There is no river view at this time due to a large wall built blocking construction. They let us pay for a view and never told us the view was not available at this time. We wouldve went somewhere else if they had told us. The staff was very rude about it and acted like it wasnt a big deal. Will never go here again. The view will be blocked for a year but they say nothing on their website about it and they take your money for a view they can't offer right now.

Always a pleasure to stay here. 5 stars in every way.

I paid $315 a night for what they advertise as a Balcony River view. The promised view is the only reason I stayed at this hotel. Not only are they doing construction, (which wakes you up in the morning and loud the entire day), But the only thing you can see from your view is massive water tanks, storage boxes, and wires! I couldn’t even take a balcony photo BC it looks like a junkyard. $750 for 2 nights here, SO UPSETTING! This view ruined my vacation and I don’t appreciate being ripped misled. I also booked 4 months in advance, so disappointing!

Despite the fat that the website offered a smaller room, the management would not allow me to change rooms. Uncompromising, petty and ridiculous

Great place to relax in the metro Sacramento area. Nice pool area. Easy on and off the freeway.

Paid extra for a river view room, only to discover a large construction fence blocking the view. The carpet in the room had holes in it, kinda dated. Valet parking is mandatory and there is also a parking fee. Property is beautifully landscaped and public areas are well maintained. Just disappointiled in the room considering the price point.

Always love staying here. The river wall is being worked on so we couldnt really enjoy the riber view but still always worth it.

Property is good as expected at Westin , however we did book a river view room but the view is blocked . All we see is the restaurant in ground floor and we are just next floor . Getting a room on 3rd floor with a clear river view would have been worth the stay .

Amazing room, amazing staff, amazing restaurant. Definitely going back

The property itself is very nice. The only thing that was disappointing is i paid for a room that was supposed to have a view of the river, but became of the construction that's being done, it was obstructed. The brunch snd dinner was delicious. The staff here is very pleasant and accommodating.

When I visit California to see family, I always stay at the Westin because I feel safe here and it’s close to family!! I’ve never been disappointed!!

The Westin was a much-needed landing spot after the previous evening. The restaurant was good. the room was phenomenal. The staff was incredible.
Valet was the only option and it was $45. Didn't expect that.

Love the location, the people and the hotel. Just a little dispointed with the construction work on the levy and lack of access to the dock on the water. Rtaes should have been lower. Also, the valet should have been free given the fact you couldnt park your own car dure to construction.

Everything was great (as rated on the survey). Personnel were exceptionally friendly and efficient. BEWARE of the exorbitant daily parking fee of $45--this was not mentioned when I booked the room online.

I have stayed at the Westin a few times. However they fail to mention that the city is doing major construction and have removed some of the amenities that we loved like fire pit and bocci ball court. There is a large temporary wall to try and hide the construction and they also failed to mention they charge 45 valet overnight parking? I will NEVER stay with Westin again.

It was calm, made relaxing pure joy

Room was clean, staff friendly but upstairs noise all night, shower gel empty, patio dirty and paid for river view and all you saw was brown plastic sheeting. Just for the price wasn’t really impressed.

This is a beautiful hotel. I however picked this because it’s next to the river but there is no access to any walking paths and the river view is blocked by a wall which sucked. The staff was great and friendly. I hate that you don’t have a self park option and valet is $45. I would stay here again after the renovations are done.

The fish restaurant was disappointing.
The hotel staff appears to try their best, but some of the quality of the room were not just “ok”

The pool was so cold my kids couldn't even use it for more than 30 minutes after a lot of effort of trying to get in. The construction along the riverfront has a giant wall that blocks any view of the river and the reason for staying here is pretty much gone. While they have plenty of parking in their private lot they still only allow valet and charge $45 a day. This location is not near anything but apartments so not sure why they charge this. So the view is gone, nothing within walking distance, and very expensive parking leaves me not wanting to come back. The staff was very friendly and let us check in early so none of this is their fault.

No view of the river when walking around. The noise level on Monday due to the construction going on made it impossible to relax by the pool or hot tub. I really hope I wasn't charged extra for these "amenities" because there were none. Actually, I was charged. The parking situation was a nightmare because of the $45 per night charge to park. So, I was charged for amenities that I didn't get, then on top of that, $45 to park overnight. REALLY! $45 to park overnight! What is wrong here! It was my birthday and decided to have lunch at Scotts. Everyone should know that there is no view of the river while dining at Scotts. There is some sort of 10 foot wall that is in place because of the construction.
I always stayed at the Westin and had lunch or dinner at Scotts with family around June 18, my birthday. The pandemic stopped this tradition. This year I wanted to start going back again for my birthday, however, to be charged so much for the room, for the "amenities", for $45 parking, I need to ask the Westin: "Why?" Not only my birthday, I talked to several fathers, because it was also Father's Day, and all were disappointed.

Shanirra the Front Office Manager was amazing! We travel a lot and so we know hospitality professionalism. She went above and beyond to make our stay memorable even when some little things weren't perfect.
We will definitely go back and she was the deciding factor. She is a super asset to the property and the company.

It seems safe and quiet. I left something in the car when I dropped it off with the valet parking attendant. She was able to bring back the car and allow me to go into the car and get the item.
