I was so disappointed with this stay. We were in town for my dad's memorial so we really just needed a smile and to be cared for while here. I prepaid because it cheaper and made it so I didn't need to worry about having the funds at check in. When we arrived I was told they would place a $20 a day hold on my card and it would be returned after we check out. This brought my bank account into the negative. And now I got charged not one but two overdrawn fees because of this. I asked about getting extra towels and was told oh you will have to bring down dirty towels first. It's me and my two daughters. Four towels are not enough for us. It was just not a good experience and I would not recommend your hotel at all.

Nice property, well maintained and all of the staff we interacted with were all pleasant and efficient. (Check in, breakfast attendant and check out). Would gladly choose to stay here again!

2 issues - 1 - The couch was terribly uncomfortable! 2 - The Lobby bar is closed because "finding help since covid has been difficult". Please stop using covid as an excuse to provide a lower standard.

Great stay; only issue was room temperature. It hovered around 74. Tried to lower it to 68, but it immediately jumped back up. Staff tried to fix as well without success. Not a huge issue and as it was over Xmas, staff was limited. Will definitely return.

We stayed at the SpringHill Suites in Midland, MI. for 3 nights over the Thanksgiving holiday. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast was adequate (if standard fare), offering both hot and cold options. The beds were comfortable, and the pool clean. It was reasonably-priced. So, what’s not to like? The hot breakfast items need to be changed up…eggs one day, pancakes the next, bacon one day, sausage the next, etc. We both agree that we will stay there again, when in Midland.

Was really disappointed in this location. We travel a lot and for all the Springhill Suites we have stayed at, this one was not up to standards at all. I feel like it definitely could have been cleaner. Upon arrival, getting in the room, the carpets were wet. I’m front of the mini fridge was really wet. When the carpet dried it was sticky(took 2 days to dry). Shampoo/Conditioner was not refilled when room was cleaned. Ended up running out of it and having to ask for it to be filled. Breakfast wasn’t much at all(scrambled eggs and sausage every day or oatmeal) The waffle maker only came out on Saturday and Sunday. Wallpaper in room was bubbling off the walls. Stain in the bottom of the tub. Definitely not what I would have expected with the name. I would not stay here again for that price. The gentleman at check in was nice and welcoming.

The Hotel was nice and clean. However, this was my first experience with this hotel. I rarely ever get to enjoy a hotel so I paid $250 for a King Suite. Without telling me, they gave me a handicapped room. I’m just confused. I just wish they would have at least told me. I had to go down to the lobby and ask why I didn’t get the King Suite I paid for. And she simply told me that their King Suites were “sold out for the night” but that they were “the same price” and it was “the same thing”. My only comment on this is if it says a room is available and let’s you pay for it. Then you should be getting what room you chose. And on top of that they charged an additional $20 when checking-in.

We had peeling paint in the room and a broken window. There was a large clump of hair on the floor in the bathroom. The lighting in the room was not very good.

Loved the family room and hot breakfast was appreciated by all. Nobody answering my call on front desk for 35 minutes (i was calling to let them know we were running late) was strange for a Marriott. Also when we arrived there was nobody at the front desk and we were waiting for 4 to 5 mins for someone to turn up. Wpuld still stay here again as location is great.

The couch could use a good wash; it had stains on it. Also, you should update your food pictures as breakfast was bad and didn’t have the items showing in pictures. Otherwise, would recommend.

So our room did not get cleaned while we were there, we asked for extra pillows cuz the pillows on the bed were really bad and flat my wife tipped the maid $5 when she got us the pillows and then the maid didn't clean our room, or refresh our coffee supply. The window was cracked with packing tape covering it. The AC unit was loud.

The hotel was excellent. I understand staffing issues makes it impossible to clean rooms daily, but i stayed a week and had to run down a maid every time i needed towels or any other supplies. A knock on the door every couple days to empty trash or bring fresh towels would have been nice.

Great check in. Very very clean. Good location to shopping, the mall, food, etc. walking distance for many of those. While it is “close” to Dow diamond, it wasn’t exactly as close as I had hoped. I don’t know that you will find much nicer and cleaner though.

The property was clean. But dated. My biggest dislike is that I always get a king size bed when traveling. On Expedia it showed that but when I got to hotel it was just two queens and they wouldn’t change even though they had the king room avail. I won’t be returning to this hotel when I travel to that region.

Booked a suite that showed it had a jacuzzi tub through Expedia, upon getting to the room there was no jacuzzi tub. Called the front desk & they said they were sold out of jacuzzi rooms currently & that it’s been an issue showing up that the room has a jacuzzi in the picture online. Pretty frustrating to be expecting and paying for a room that isn’t as expected. It was the entire reason I booked this room.
