Friendly staff and clean room

We arrived late evening and there was no parking available out front to go check in. So we parked in the last 2 spots out back. The back door was propped open and I entered and checked in. The next morning I needed to run down to my car and exited the back door that I came in. However when I was ready to reenter the building I couldn't get in. I tried my room key a few times. I had to walk all the way around the building to get back in. I asked the employee at the desk if my key had already been turned off or would I be able to get back in my room. She explained it was still working. I explained that I couldn't get back in the back door a moment earlier and had to walk around. (I am awaiting a knee replacement so it was painful) She said she would have maintenance look at it.
I went up to our room to and we gathered our belongings and went back down to check out. As the elevator door opened another guest had just experienced not being able to get in the backdoor and the same employee was stating the batteries had died and maintenance would have to change them later!
Not a good experience with customer service
