The separated toilet/sink and shower areas on opposite sides of the room with the bed in the middle was not an ideal layout. Having to essentially walk in a U shape to go from the shower to the sink area was annoying. There was no fan so had to keep the windows open during showers. The shower area had very minimal storage space so that was a disappointing and hard to maneuver. There was also only a shower curtain to keep the water at bay but that barely does anything so it was a super wet area. There was no sliding door separation into the shower area (like the toilet) and unfortunately it’s just a shower curtain to block off some privacy when showering only. One side of the bed had no outlet and I had to charge my stuff at the desk area with the room phone etc. However, greatly appreciated the various storage spaces the room had.

Nice hotel near the center of Akureyri. City swimming pools right on the other side of the doors. Walking distance to the city center and tge places with a very nice wievs. Everything you need from the hotel with excelent restaurant in the hotel building. The beer choice could be better but it's OK.. Remember you're on Iceland ;) I can recommend and for sure will be back there.
