Excellent resort right in the middle of Ubud. The private pool room was amazing! It's the Best hotel we've ever stayed in and we travel a lot. We loved having our own private pool! The service, food, spa, and rooms are all incredible! We felt like VIPs the whole time. It's an Oasis in the middle of the city and close to everything. You won't be disappointed.

Decent place in the heart of Ubud. The rooms are spacious and clean. Overall the hotel is nice but doesn't quite meet the service you expect at a true luxury hotel. The staff are friendly but could better communicate, including how the breakfast is set up.

Property is ok, gym and pool open at 7 and close at 20:00, they claim it’s because of the noise, but their noise restaurant (right next to the pool and gym) is open till very late. Same goes for their overpriced spa. This is my 4th time in Ubud, first time in this hotel and in my opinion you are very likely to find better value for money.

Everyone and everything about this property was and IS amazing!!! Very sweet, lovely, thoughtful, respectful, kind, and more the. Pleasant!! I had a wonder birthday stay from 10/16-10/19! ALL staff on duty during that time made my experience the best birthday experience ever! The driver was key to an amazing birthday trip!! 10 out of 10!!!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Big clean room. Good breakfast. Calm pool area. By money forest so you get cute visitors to greet. Spa was also good. I'd recommend. Location is central but quiet so made for a very good base.

Convenient location in Ubud and near Monkey Forest. Very nice and helpful staff, excellent service. Food is cooked and presented for western tourists…good flavors but not exactly authentic Indonesian preparation or heat level.

The service and staff were beyond amazing. Everyone was so warm and helpful. The breakfast was excellent!! We stayed in the pool villa and were so impressed with our accommodations for the price we paid. So completely worth it and would highly recommend this place if you are planning a trip to Ubud.

This location was central to shops, restaurants and the monkey forest. Highly recommend it for convenience and tucked away that it’s quiet. It’s also so clean and well maintenance.

The property is beautiful, and perfectly located in Monkey Forest. They catered for my gluten free requirements, with delicious alternative bread and cake. The Aum Spa was divine! My therapist for all 3 treatments was professional and had a great touch! The private treatment rooms are immaculate, and quiet. In room dining was great - same menu and price as restaurant. Once again my meal was delicious. All staff were friendly and helpful. We also loved our half day tour too - great to see a sacred water temple that was not over run with other travellers - thanks for the suggestion. We highly recommend and thank the staff at Royal Kamuela for a beautiful stay - we will return.

Excellent hotel. Given an upgrade which doesn't happen normally. Had some issues with payment but the hotel is superb. Most of the staff were really friendly and the room was as you would expect in a 5 star hotel. Great to see the monkeys playing in the hotel grounds. Breakfast was very good.

We booked one of the villas at the Royal Kamuela. The unit included a private pool and patio surrounded by a high wall. The bedroom had three glass walls looking out on the pool with no reason to ever close the curtains…and we didn’t. The monkeys would pass through on the walls and roof several times a day and were every where on the property, Food and service were the best and reasonably priced. The hotel had drivers available to visit the sights and a wonderful two hour couples massage package for just under $65. We absolutely loved the place and hated to leave.

Very good place to stay in Ubud, close to all the main activities of Ubud (monkey forest, Main Street, art market, Ubud palace, water temple,…) but very quiet as well. Room was beautiful and very spacious. Pool is so big. breakfast is ok. All the personnel is very kind and ready to help you. I would definitively come back again.

Great hotel in central location of Ubud town. Highlights of hotel, big room & bathroom. Also at times you could see monkeys which was fun. Room furniture could use an upgrade. Bathroom sink has ants. Once you walk out of hotel there are a lot of shops and restaurants. All very walkable.

Highly recommend their private villas if your wallet allows it. Worth the extra money for the private pool. Monkeys are definitely a thing here as well so be careful with your belongings. If you love animals this is your spot.

We stayed here for the second half of our honeymoon. It was a welcomed, relaxing location in the heart of Ubud. It’s hard to believe how walkable this location is since when you’re in the hotel property, it’s extremely quiet. The staff was incredibly accommodating. We were able to organize most excursions through the hotel directly which included transport and was very easy. We used the spa several times. Would definitely recommend.

I stayed in one of the villas at this property and it was nothing short of amazing. The villa itself was spacious and beautiful. And it was quite private and quiet. A few monkeys visited one morning which was a bonus. Another plus was the restaurant. I did the floating breakfast, ordered room service and dined at the restaurant once. All of these meals were superb. The customer service exceeded my expectations. From the moment I entered until I checked out the service was phenomenal. Icha and Wayan took excellent care of me during my stay. Cant thank them enough. The spa is also exceptional. I received one of the best massages ever during my stay. I only stayed 3 nights due to unavailability. However, I cant wait to return and stay in the villa once again.

Wonderful service all around. Got a free upgrade which was nice. Every staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was also yummy. Was impressed with the free welcome 15min foot massage they provided at the in-house spa. Very clean, and new. Had some wild monkeys on premises as it is near the monkey forest. But not much of a hassle. In house spa is more expensive than the ones along the street, but much cleaner and more comfortable- would recommend.

We stayed in the suite, which is supposed to be a decent room with a big size; but we were very surprised to see mold on the curtains (on the side of the window all over the fabric) as well as a musky smell inside the room. This definitely should not happen in such a property.
The food in restaurant is simply not good and overpriced. After having bone and skin for a crispy duck, bone with very little meat for beef stew, we did not take any chances with restaurant, and opted to dine out; and found great options. As well as; breakfast options (that you can order 1 option per guest) limited us; which might not be fulfilling even though you were just looking for a simple oatmeal, or fried eggs.
The staff is great and helpful.
