The Inn at Ragged Edge

Such a charming place to stay. The owners are very friendly. Everything is beautiful and well maintained. We loved staying here. It was a little too easy to hear people speaking in the common areas, but still totally worth it. We can’t wait to come back!

Outstanding stay at a historic Frank Furness summer home/mansion built in 1901 with a vintage Steinway piano (that guests are welcome to play!) The owners were very charming, easily reachable, and went above and beyond many times to insure a pleasant visit. Breakfasts were delicious, including a custom dish they made to accommodate my dietary preferences. Highlights of the stay include the clean room and comfortable bed, the beauty of the house itself, playing the Steinway, exploring the outside grounds a little bit, and speaking with the owners about the Inn’s history, One morning during breakfast we even got to hear another guest play an original song she came up with about the Inn! I would highly recommend a stay here and hope to return!

Simon and Rachel were amazing hosts at The Inn at Ragged Edge! One of the best experiences we’ve had away from home. The property made us feel welcome as we drove up the drive with everything meticulously maintained down to the last detail throughout our stay. The grounds were beautiful with landscaping and bright colored flowers and greenery. Many seating arrangements on the sight to relax and unwind by the creek that runs through the property, a fire pit area out front on the rolling lawn, either side of the double entrance doors, the side porch and a larger area in the back with tables. As you enter the mansion-like establishment you are met with luxury, elegance and charm like never before. The common areas are roomy and exquisite boasting decor from the early 1900’s and each private suite is themed and spacious each having a unique character and charm. We have no idea how they keep this place so clean as they do with its grandness-spotless without a speck of dust or streaked window. When it comes to the morning meal, Rachel takes great care in planning and preparing the scrumptious breakfasts for each morning exceeding your expectations and the presentation, flavor and flare begs a celebrity chef’s presence in the gourmet kitchen behind the scenes as she tingles your tastebuds. You won’t be disappointed as you step back in time and enjoy your stay. We can’t wait to go back!!
