The photos online are not representative of the current state. Most areas are run down or in disrepair. Pool and shower were disappointing. Rooms appeared decently clean, and the beds were comfortable enough. Would not stay again.

I like staying here but their policy regarding the use of the pool area is unacceptable. I understand closing the pool for the slow “cold” season but don’t feel the jacuzzi needs to be included in this. Paid a lot of money for a suite and was looking forward to relaxing my back in a hot sauna only to find out it was closed.

The room was in need of a remodel. The flooring was badly chipped and scraped all over. The tub/shower had mildew in the groute. Only one set of towels. Door made very loud squeling sound when open or closed. Desk chair was very dirty. Did not feel the room was clean.

The room was OK, typical of a budget hotel. The hotel and grounds around it showed a lot of wear and little upkeep. We also had to deal with lukewarm water in our shower (after letting it "warm" up) and no shampoo or body gel in the dispenser bottles in the shower. No wonder it was one of the cheapest hotels in the area.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Room was okay no issues there. Being on a 2 week trip, we decided to do a load of laundry on the 2nd night of our stay. The dryer we used stained 1/3 of our load with some kind of grease and made small tears as well. Waiting to hear back from somebody and management on being reimbursed for my damage clothing. Hopefully they are doing some renovations on the laundry room and the washer/dryers inside, as they do not function correctly.

This was the worse place ive stayed at in 20 years of traveling. The floors were coming apart and very dirty. The bathroom tub has mild all along the edges and tge bathroon sink had no hot water. My tv did not work and took 2 days to get fixed. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone to stat in.

This hotel was a great price with a free breakfast that was nice. The staff were super friendly! It was a great location for visiting the Joshua Tree park. It was budget friendly for families looking for a place to stay for a local vacation. I would stay here again.

Loved the complimentary hot breakfast. Starts really early at 5.30am to cater for hikers. The food gets replenished very quickly. The rooms are clean and spacious. Need to ask the receptionist for cooking pots. Not placed within the room. There were also no other cooking equipment, dishwear, utensils or cutlery. Quite a strange non functional kitchen. About 20 minutes drive to Joshua tree park.

No blankets provided but it’s freezing cold in winter. Heater and AC are poor quality. Shower takes forever to heat up and drain was clogged. Hotel premises and area around the hotel were FUGLY. Television was bad. Bed was an old spring mattress. Lighting was terrible. No tea, no fridge, no microwave.

Our first room had mold in bathroom tube area. We were moved to another room, no mold. Hot water was turned off in whole facility during early evening for a pipe repair. Never was restored before we checked out the following day. Staff was more than apologetic but issues were out of their hands. Although they did communicate with managers. Over all this hotel was out dated and in need of repairs.

The hotel was easy to get to and the 3 ladies I interacted with at the front desk were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was better than I was expecting and the coffee was good. The room was ok and severed its purpose for the night.

Fantastic at all the important things! Free breakfast was on time and had an assortment of options, the room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable bed, staff was friendly and helpful, the brand of coffee they provide is delicious, and the water pressure & temperature in the shower was amazing! Also, located right across from a small grocery store with an excellent supermarket only a few minutes away, and reasonable distance to Joshua Tree national park entrances, you can’t beat this place. To top it off, plenty of parking and free wifi. We visited while it was being remodeled, so there were some piles of old carpets and debris out in the parking lot by the dumpster but once they sort all that this will be great inside and out!

The front desk people were nice. But the service was really really bad. They said I can request for a make up room/housekeeping. So I requested it. From my experiences staying at best Western hotels when you request housekeeping it means they clean the room, vacuum, make the bed, change towels everything. This is the first time the make up room was not a make up room. Room still dirty ( from hiking shoes), bed was a mess, everything the same except they just gave new towels. That's all. I asked, they gave a silly reason saying not included. Not sure what it means. Not included what??? The wall is very thin. The while night people next door talking and I could hear them. Stay somewhere else. Not recommended. Additional sad review. Found 3 little bugs on the bed this morning crawling. That's I think because of very poor cleaniness from the hotel

Staff was incredibly nice, and the breakfast was actually quite good. However, the room was dirty (dirty shoe prints on the floor and a cockroach in the bathroom), and many of the amenities (pool, jacuzzi, WiFi) were not functional.

My back window was busted out, and my car was robbed at this hotel. When I filed a police report, the staff said the cameras happened to be not working that were pointed at my car. As I was packing my room to leave one of the male employees was watching me from a building. One my last walk in the room to get everything I noticed someone that was with him walked outside the same building with a backpack on that looks like my sons, which had been stolen. He took off when he saw me. The employees told me they could not issue a refund for the room stay, that the manager could do this. I tried to contact the manager multiple times with the Police report, suspicions of the employee and all, and got no response. I’ve even contacted best Western corporate, and had no response about my room being refunded. A gentleman I spoke with, while the police report was being made that have been at the hotel for a while told me this has happened there before. I’ve waited so long to post this in hopes that the manager or best western would contact me, but since they didn’t have the decency to I am posting this. Do not stay at this hotel. If you do stay in the area, I suggest parking in a well lit visible area.

Property needs serious help. Facilities are not up to date. The tub wasn’t clean and the toilet was leaking constantly. The next room we got assigned it was much better but the light switch for the door lamp wasn’t working there. Won’t stay here again.

The lady who checked me in was incredible. The breakfast was fantastic. The room was very clean. The only downside was the room I was in (303) must have been below a lot of plumbing pipes, and I was awoken constantly by people flushing their toilets, as well as footsteps. This issue might be limited to those few rooms on that side of the building, as my mother in room 306 didn’t hear any plumbing. Besides that, I couldn’t fault the hotel.

While the rooms had amenities needed, the floor was so unclean you could not walk barefoot without a layer of soot under your feet. Couple of dead roaches in the bathroom.

My low expectations of this property were exceeded by an even worse experience. The property felt quite unsafe, with firedoors propped open with crumbling concrete blocks, and guests and I guees *their* guests freely going in out of the hotel and making a scene. The water in the rooms was hilarious for all the loud noises the plumbing makes, and the lack of soap was particularly novel touch. One person behind the counter was helpful, while a second person was rude and unhelpful.
