There were a couple of beat down cars that would come into the parking lot late at night. They would drive to the back dead end with their lights off and park behind the motel for about 10 minutes and leave just to come back a little while later. The people inside looked ghetto. It didn’t help they all had their seats almost in the laying down position barely looking over the door where the window started when they drove in and out.

The property is in a good state, it is clean and the owners were friendly and helpful, it is close to a few restaurants that sell breakfast which is convenient.

Property is ordinary and nothing special but was clean and filled my needs...walls are thin and could hear the conversation in next room but other than that it's fine...short walk to downtown Temecula and lots of action there..:)

Stayed Friday night and was concerned about the close proximity to Freeway and Historic Old Town Temecula but it was quiet and comfortable. Would consider stay again if in area. Enjoyed dinner with family in Old Town Temecula walking distance.

The room reeked of cigarettes. The staff attempted to cover it up with a spray that only covered up the smell for 15 minutes. The walls are so thin you can hear every person walking by and every car driving by. This is an overpriced motel.

It is a great budget hotel, you definitely get what you pay for, but for the price it is not bad at all. The best thing about the hotel is the central location, everything is very walkable. We felt safe while at the hotel, but it is located on a street where big rigs park and saw some homeless people right across the street. Downside is there are no elevators, so you have to carry your stuff up if you get an upstairs room. We did get into town early so it was the only room available, but do appreciate them being able to get us into a room early. We tried to go into the pool, but it was ice cold. I felt like they could do a better job at cleaning, saw some bugs in our room. Also needs some updating and renovating. All the fabrics, bedding and carpet seemed mismatched with too many different colors and patterns.

The owner is male; never on-site. Some old woman is there who will call the owner during your check in. Woman is clearly on medication or drugs; rude, zero interest in helping you check in. So be prepared for her attitude as you wake her from her slumber; she lives in room behind lobby check in area. Do not stay here. These Indians are rude as …save your money…

The property was nice, clean and quiet. I felt safe in my room. But there should be some kind of elevator instead of just stairs to get heavy luggage upstairs. Also, there should be some sort of plates and flatware included with the paper cups and napkins even if they are paper. It is little good using a microwave if you have nothing to put your food in.

What I love about this property is it is safe. The people that work in the office are great. They are always cordial and helpful to any of my needs. This is a very wonderful place to stay at. I would recommend anybody stay at this hotel above any of the other big hotels. It is very clean and very well kept

Great overall stay experience... except for the key card reader on our room's door, which kept malfunctioning. The management staff took immediate steps to correct the problem each time, and apologize for the inconvenience.

This motel is dirty overall. The carpet and sofa were old and dirty.. Worse of all was the bathroom. It smells like public restroom. I couldn't sleep from the smell. I will never come back here. I don't feel like the bed sheets were even washed. The staff was terrible. They knock your door at exact 11am to checkout. I told them I need a few more minutes cuz my gf is still putting on makeup. They knocked again in 3 min or so. I have never experience anything like it when I travel. I feel unsafe in this area. Especially my room was lower level. I was worried about my car parking there overnight but it was fine the next morning, thank goodness. From now on I will never book a motel, try to book a hotel if you can afford, it's worth it. This motel wasn't that much cheaper. Not worth the saving. I believe it's owned by a Middle Eastern family. Customer service is just poor.

A comfortable, quiet, no frills room. The office staff was friendly. Wish they had separate containers for recycling and trash, but I don't see many places that do. Priced lower than most of the surrounding properties. TV and wifi worked fine.

Rancho California Inn is the best place to rest, swim and enjoy Temecula. Walkable distance to everything. Clean and quiet, very close to freeway exit and safe neighborhood.
