The room was OK but had a smell on entry possibly smoke. A sign at the front states 2 restaurants but neither were open. Parking is on the street covered by their cameras. breakfast was good. Easy to find and reception speak good English.

My experience was poor, but it could have been an exception. I reserved a "Junior Suite." When I checked in, I was given a key that turned out to be to a normal room. I called the front desk to see if I was in a Junior Suite (since it didn't look anything like the picture) and the clerk immediately apologized and said he inadvertently checked me into a normal room. I went back down to the front desk to get a new key to a Junior Suite. We dropped off our bags and left the hotel to walk around the city for a few hours. Once back at the hotel, I turned on the wall-mounted A/C unit only to find the air coming out of it smelled like urine. This is not an exaggeration, it smelled exactly like human urine. The smell eventually subsided (or we grew accustomed to it), so I didn't bother complaining. In the morning, we had breakfast. It was as reviewed by others, typical breakfast for Morocco but with omelettes available upon request. Nothing special. BUT, when we tried to check out I was charged for the room once again. I checked my email to confirm I had already paid for the room, and also checked my credit card account to verify the charge had gone through, and both were true. I presented this information to the clerk, but she insisted that the room had NOT been paid for and charged me again. Now I'll take that up with Hotels.com, or with my credit card company. I will not stay here again, but, like I said, it could have been a one off. It was a major Moroccan holiday weekend.

Small room but the balcony with nice chaos and table made it work. Helpful staff, but I was accidently charged twice for two nights and despite a call to the hotel and assurance that my money was refunded, the double billing remains on my credit card. Comfortable beds, good towels and plenty of hot water, but the curved shower stall kept malfunctioning and half of its door was missing.

Room was adequate for what we needed, which was a place to put our heads at night. Barebones in terms of amenities but Meknès itself more than made up for it. Breakfast was continental and was pretty good. Hotel staff were very nice and attended to our needs. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was a welcome respite after a terrible overnight stay at the nearby Hotel Palace. Large, airy rooms, comfy bed, soothing grey and white colours, flat-screen TV, some toiletries and nice towels. The toilet area was a bit cramped but no big deal as there was hot water and good water pressure. Breakfast was also included and while they had the traditional (boring) Moroccan spread of bread and butter, there were also a number of jams and even wheat bread!!! I asked for an omelette and received one with no problem =) Plus FRUIT! Kiwis, strawberries, etc. The location is great: right in the heart of the city but the noise level was muted as we were on a top floor. The only hitch was when we ate dinner the night before at the Japanese restaurant on site and the staff had a bill mix-up. It was annoying to have the staff contact us THREE separate times to confirm we paid bc one staff member didn't tell the others we did. Also, when we asked for an extra roll there was surprise on a staff member's face. Apparently, as we noticed travelling around Morocco, TP is rationed or something. There is some English language barrier at the front desk but not insurmountable. But those are minor quibbles and I wished EVERY place we stayed in Morocco was like this!
