Bathroom was dark and needed updating

On arrival we were warmly greeted by the staff.
Our room was clean and spacious with a recent renovation.
Bathrooms are dated but have been given a lick of paint and new taps.
The walls are paper thin so if you’re a light sleeper or don’t want to hear next door, pop some earplugs in

Very quirky. Good facilities and location and tennis court and hot tub great. Piped music took some getting used to. But overall very cool.

Bring back the check in desk
We’ve always been greeted by staff at desk on arrival
It was clumsy having to go to restaurant bar to be allocated a room
On a positive note Blaq is always great

Lovely grounds and restaurant was good however short on staff and room not taken care of after we returned from long dsy hiking; after finally finding someone jt was rectified. Phone type keys were a bit tempermental.

We loved staying at Kyah Hotel! The place is really nicely finished, rooms are spacious and comfortable. Convenient parking, and great facilities. It was great having a restaurant on site for convenience and the breakfast was lovely. Highly recommend, we couldn’t get over how good it was for the price!

Tastefully renovated and reasonably well kept place. The staff at check in was a bit let down…they sent me an email with steps to follow including to download an app to receive a key code to my room, I spent quite some time to follow it but it didn’t work, so I ask the staff at check in, who said it was not going to work because they do not have my credit card number, so I ask why they send the email wasting the guest’s time, instead of acknowledging the issue, the staff tried to justify the email… Another let down was it had nice breakfast but no juice…when asked whether there is juice, told ‘no, but you can order freshly squeezed juice for extra fee’…coffee was ordinary…they had espresso machine but you had to pay extra fee to have it…hmmmm….well, breakfast included is not the case that it is provided for free, it is paid by the guests as a part of accommodation…and generally hotels do not try to make money on juice and coffee…I found it unusual and not so satisfying…would I recommend this hotel? Yes and no, totally depending on the price…

Liked the room decor and overall appearance of the property.
Not impressed with the lighting in the room - could barely read except under the reading lamp in the only chair in the room. Weird considering the bed was a king and booked for two people.
Dining was ordinary - limited menu, service ordinary (waiter looked scruffy), breakfast looked great but in reality terrible with no cereal, juice only from bar at unspecified extra cost, croissants stale.
Would not return to this venue

This was a real gem. The hotel has been stylishly renovated and is extremely comfortable. The breakfast spread is a great bonus too. Nothing else in Blackheath comes close to this in the price range.

There have been renovations so the rooms are more modern. Grounds are lovely. Restaurant has lovely food but a bit pricey. Bed was a tad too soft so have back ache..but thats also my age! Enjoyed my stay. Staff are lovely. Some greedy guests parked in two car spaces at the back so i had to park on the side road...otherwise a lovely stay.

Super comfy bed, crisp clean sheets, loved the hot tub! Very friendly staff.
We had a one night stopover on a journey through the blue mountains and Kyah was lovely for that.
But we didn’t realise before we booked that the bar and restaurant were shut Mondays and Tuesdays, which we found really inconvenient for our overnight stay.
The hotel seemed full and we were amazed that the management didn’t see the potential in employing a chef or bar staff for what was essentially a captive audience, and with such lovely seating areas that we weren’t able to use.

I read a mixture of reviews prior to booking at Kyah so went in with an open mind. I feel some criticisms are valid - it's a lovely property but not sure it's quite up to four stars standard. The devil is in detail and small things like the beds (a touch too soft), dark lighting, lack of fan in bathroom, no robes or slippers make it feel less luxe. However, the staff onsite are lovely and go above and beyond. I found email communication prior to visiting mostly went unanswered, so would recommend calling if you want to book spa/sauna (permitted 7 days before stay) and the restaurant BLAQ (which is convenient but a bit expensive, I would recommend going for the 'big' plates). Grazing breakfast is a great addition, when we visited it was topped up throughout service so visitors can probably enjoy a sleep in and still get a feed. Highlights were the cute grounds and definitely spa/sauna, if guests make the most of these facilities then it's worth a stay! Other food options nearby include Thai Silk (will deliver and super tasty), bowling club across the road and Ates in town (didn't get to try but it's on the list!). For those who don't drive, 698 bus stop is right out front for drop off/pick up although service is infrequent so be sure to factor that in.

We loved our time at Kyah, the pictured on the net do it no justice at all!
Everything about it was beautiful, staff were always so helpful and cheerful.
We will def be back I’ve already told everyone I know to go there!

The property was beautiful- the rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. Breakfast had a huge selection. The grounds were so pretty. Great value. Felt like a beautiful resort.

Great property, only downside is restaurant is only open for dinner Wednesday-Sunday and there is not a lot of options for food in the immediate area

Sauna and hot tub were fabulous. Service was accommodating and friendly. Did not eat a main meal at the restaurant but the pear tart was divine! Bed pillows were all high which was uncomfortable for me personally and the room was slightly too dark, a few stronger lights would be great. I would definitely come back

The place was amazing, love the whole atmosphere and set out of this hotel. You have to experience it to know what I mean!!
Driving short distance to resturants and shopping centers, so so quite eventhough the big road is just near by. Free breakfast, not flash but good enough for what you pay for.
Only downside with this restuarant is the bathroom light is not bright enough.
The hotel manager is such a wonderful lady to talk and hang around with. You are doing a great job and I am sure you know it too.
My two boys will miss your smile and out going attitude! Until next time, you take care!

Enjoyable stay at Kyah Hotel. Good location, clean, love the Palm Springs vibe and cute extra touches like the Tea Room in the facility. Definitely worth a visit!

The hotel and staff were lovely, so friendly and happy to recommend treks, viewing points and restaurants in the area. Nothing was too much trouble. The absolute highlight for us was dinner at the Blaq restaurant, the food was on a par with the best restaurants in London and the presentation and attention to detail was incredible. We feel so fortunate the restaurant was open one night during our stay so we could enjoy it - a truly memorable experience. Breakfast was great too!

Staff were really nice and helpful but unfortunately that’s where it ended. I was excited about a boutique hotel but really, it was just an old hotel with a new coat of paint and fancy mirrors thrown in.
Room flooring was cheap vinyl. Room was dark because there was no overhead light, just lamps. Bathroom had old tiles, very old toilet and no exhaust fan
Yes, the continental breakfast was free but there wasn’t enough variation to go every morning.
If I paid half the rate I would’ve copped everything on the chin but I’m disappointed and angry that I got sucked in to the marketing of this place

I need to question the size of the Queen bed... Felt like a double really. Everything else in room was fine.

Absolutely lovely staff, room is clean, facilities are great, highly recommend hot tub and Sauna, breakfast is great, bathroom is a bit small and not bright enough for make up, overall great experience
