We only stayed one night by we would probably stay again. We stayed in the Carriage House and we loved that we had our own little cottage. It was VERY spacious and perfect for our family and our dog. The beds were so comfy and warm. It is an older place and makes some noise (pipes etc), so just something to note. It was very clean though. We loved the deck but were a little dissapointed that the private jacuzzi was not available since it was in the description. Not a deal breaker, but we were looking forward to using it. Three breakfast was delicious and we like that they delivered it to us. The only thing I'd say is that the grounds can be fixed up a bit. It has so much potential with their big deck in the back and garden that needs some work. Overall it was a wonderful stay, we would consider it again for the privacy, space and being dog friendly.

We had a really good time there. The little backyard of our cottage and the location are wonderful. We took a star out because it would benefit from a refresh. The one thing that is a problem is the heater in the room that is very noisy and will wake you up several times if the room needs heating. That said, we will return there.

We always stay at Monarch Cove because it is so beautiful and quiet! It is close enough to town to walk there and eat, shop, and stroll and far enough away to be so quiet with only the sound of the ocean and birds! The rooms are spacious and very comfortable! The grounds are beautiful!

Super cute old bed and breakfast. Felt like going back in time, beautiful grounds. Only complaint is that it did not specify electric heater designed to look like a fire place vs actual fire place. That was a little disappointing. Other than that was a very nice place to go!

We had such a lovely time at Monarch Cove inn! The staff took great care of us! The only thing that we wished, was that if there had been a fire pit.

I loved the place as it was comfortable and clean. The staff were great. The comp breakfast was tasty! The only thing that was a drag was that the people below us had a dog that would not stop barking. I do not know if the owner/manager lives on site, but I think they must have heard it too. The place is very quiet so hard not to believe that they could not hear it. Nothing was done about the barking. Bummer to have that ruin a nice quiet evening. We left for a while just to get away from it. And, I did not confront (as I used to do) to get them to keep the dog quiet because these days people are so quick to violence over the stupidest things.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Monarch Cove Inn. The views were amazing, grounds were beautiful, delicious breakfast delivered to our room every day, close walking path to downtown and to the beach. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Great location. Has lots of potential Stayed in Carriage House. Lots of room but very dated. Old carpet, woodwork was dirty and not recently painted. Heating system either to hot or off and very cold. Drains in bathroom and kitchen don’t drain well. I really love the old character it really needs a refresh.

This quiet oasis overlooking the bay secluded from traffic and beautifully landscaped areas for enjoying the peace was a treat. I highly recommend this B & B for a retreat to soothe the soul and take in the refreshing and reflection.

This is a beautiful setting with sweeping views…Monarch butterflies were hatching swarming the bushes/ivy. We watched whales, dolphins and pelicans from the grassy area in front of our room. Very friendly staff.

I have loved this place for 30 years and have stayed in most of the rooms and/or cottages (though some are no longer a part of Monarch Cover). It's serene, in a beautiful, walkable neighborhood, with sea views and a lovely breakfast.

This was our first time experiencing a B&B facility. We enjoyed the room and grounds. Very quiet and peaceful. A nice little walk to beach and shopping in Capitola! Great view from backyard of property of the ocean. The room is slightly dated. Area around toilet was tiny, a little odd. Loved that it had it's own fireplace. Was nice to get our continental breakfast of juice, coffee, fruit and pastries delivered to us!! Parking was easy. The area was very nice in a beautiful neighborhood. I would book again.

Really thrilled with my stay in the Holiday House at Monarch Cove Inn for an extended weekend. Cute space with beach themed decor (nicer decor and bigger space than the pics had made it seem), plus a nice backyard in the Holiday House for the pup. Super nice housekeeping and front desk folks who watched after our stuff before check in and after check out. Spot is somewhat private in Capitola, but super walkable to the village and the beach. Can’t wait to come back!

It’s a beautiful location. Some of the individual gardens associated with the rooms are a little run down. This may just be true of the pet-friendly rooms. Rooms are a bit of a hodge-lodge, but good for the price. Overall, a lovely place…

Love the breakfast in room service. Receptionist and staffs are very nice and helpful. Room very clean. Great stay. No hair blower and bathroom is small. Wall is thin therefore you can hear next door.

Rose Garden Inn was my suite. Quaint/antique bedroom, living room, full kitchen, full bathroom, and a shared front patio. Ocean view from the dining table and the patio. There is a lovely fountain outside the bedroom and bathroom windows. The windows open for great fresh air. (Note: no a/c, but none needed) The furnishings are generally antiques or "antiquey". Nice. The only thing I didn't care for was the old, worn carpeting. My favorite thing: continental breakfast delivered to my door in the morning, and enjoying the ocean view while having my coffee!
